Introduction

This mod started as a simple unofficial add-on featuring a couple of unique and commonly modded displays to LC_Build Your Noble House but evolved into a more comprehensive patch that adds many unique displays not found in other mods (including rare quest items and custom jewelry) and improves lighting, language, and object placement in the interior of the Fellburg castle. As of version 1.3., fixes to original bugs have been implemented.

The newly displayable items are mainly those that remain in the player's inventory after a quest's end (and which do not already have a vanilla display elsewhere like Calixto's curiosities and Thieves Guild trophies). Faction items have also been avoided because they do not suit every playstyle and playthrough. After all, this is a noble's house, not a mage tower or a thief's den.
Several unique books of which only a single copy exists in-game can also now be displayed.

The displays themselves have been meticulously designed and carefully arranged to fit seamlessly inside the castle.

There are two versions of the mod, the core version and the immersion version, the latter of which only adds several subjective name changes compared to the former.

Core Version - castle interior edits, language fixes for any text displayed in-game

General fixes:
  • Map marker for the castle changed to a one that is more suitable and unused

    "Secret Treasure" room:
  • Added Dawnguard paragons display
  • Rearranged the Elder Scrolls display (central position inside a display case)
  • Added Dragonborn Black Books display (in the dark corner, nearest candles always extinguished because of their aura)
  • Added remaining Daedric items display (Oghma Infinium, Savior's Hide, Spellbreaker, Mehrunes' Razor, Hircine's Ring, Namira's Ring, Azura's [and Black] Star)
  • Added generic displays: 1 x large weapon display case and 3 x weapon plaques (for spare/faction/mod items)
  • Improved lighting (light bulbs, sun rays) and light sources (candles, braziers and a lantern), closed off the ceiling on one side (to more match the exterior)
  • Improved clutter: rugs, vines/plants (added, removed, repositioned)
  • Renamed the "to see your treasure deposit your gold here!" safe to "Gold storage" amd the "real treasure" chest to "Other treasure" (since most treasures are displayed elsewhere)

"Display room":
  • Replaced the central static armor display with a mannequin (there aren't many of them and the static displays are overabundant)
  • Changed and repositioned rugs (to better fit the room symmetry)
  • Fixed mannequin bases being interactive (non-static Hearthfire trophy displays)

"Castle hall":
  • Added names to doors leading to: "Master bedroom" (MB), "Children's bedroom", and "Guest hall"
  • (MB) Changed the name of the empty cabinet with false back panel from "Suspicious cabinet" to "Concealed entrance" (since it's not suspicious to you)
  • (MB) Added bugs in jars display by removing safes from the desk
  • (MB) Added the White Phial, Initiate's Ewer and 3 x custom ring display cases to the left closet by removing chests
  • (MB) Added the runed lexicon, attunement sphere, Saerek, Torsten, Kolbjorn and Kaarstag skulls display by removing safes from the central shelves
  • (MB) Added the divine amulets display, Pelagius' hip bone, and Aretino family heirloom in the right closet with empty shelves
  • (MB) Repositioned and enlargened one chest by the bed (for storage of various items close to hand)
  • (MB) Added 2 x generic necklace and amulet display cases in the bed area
  • (MB) Added a "Displaying jewelry" note on top of a neckwear display case to instruct on how to display jewelry in said display cases
  • (MB) Repositioned and resized the false back panel to better fit the closet
  • (Shrine lobby) Added two missing shrines (to Stendarr and Zenithar)
  • (Shrine lobby) Added a wardrobe base, a picture on the wall, a light bulb, repositioned flower baskets and removed a planter (to fit the added shrines)
  • (Shrine lobby) Repositioned and rescaled slightly all the shrines (to more reflect the divine hierarchy)
  • (Shrine lobby) Improved lighting: added a chandelier and candles near doors (replaced a planter), added light bulbs
  • (Shrine lobby) Added a bench (to better reflect the area as a lobby) and a planter with the new Elves ear and lavender (as decor and for cooking)
  • (Shrine lobby) Moved the door teleport marker to the Guest hall closer to the door
  • (Children's bedroom) Improved lighting: added new sources and repositioned bulbs (to make it more functional and in line with exterior light)
  • (Study area) Added a bookcase (to fill the empty area and since there are too few open bookcases)
  • (Study area) Added a planter and repositioned the vase (for decor)
  • (Study area) Added a Dawnguard display lectern with display case for the 4 translated ancient Falmer books, St. Jiub's Opus, and Locket of St. Jiub
  • (Study area) Added main game unique books display to the left study desk (The Dreamstride, Atlas of Dragons, Annals of the Dragonguard, King Olaf's Verse)
  • (Study area) Removed the static shield and weapon display above the left study desk (too many of them, not fitting an area dedicated to learning)
  • (Study area) Added Dragonborn books display to the right study desk (Nerevar at Red Mountain, Nchunak's Fire and Faith, The Guardian and the Traitor)
  • (Study area) Repositioned the architecture (columns, arches) and plants (vines, moss) to be more symmetrical
  • (Dining area) Removed the two weapon plaques on the columns towards the study area (they were clipping)
  • (Throne vestibule) Added a sun ray light source, repositioned other light sources and bulbs, repositioned the arch above the door to the dining area

  • "Locaster for a better world" changed to "Locaster for a Better World, 2nd Edition" - decreased value from 500 to 100 (the most unique books' value), proofread and added foreword

(Un)installation

  • Install using a mod manager or manually; the patch must load after both of the required (.esp) mods (automatic when using a manager like Vortex)
If you are not starting a new game, empty the containers and vacate the premises before installing.

  • Uninstall using a mod manager or delete the .esp file manually.
If uninstalling during a playthrough, well, don't do that (in general). To avoid issues, you can always inspect a mod in-game and remove it afterwards without saving your session.
