In vanilla, you can access Blackreach from Alftand, Mzinchaleft, and Raldbthar with an Attunement Sphere, but cannot enter these dungeons from Blackreach unless you've already opened the mechanism from above. This mod adds activators to open these three staircases from below.

This mod is a small plugin that adds an extra copy of the activator (BlackReachLock01 in the Creation Kit) that opens Blackreach access staircases in each of Alftand, Mzinchaleft, and Raldbthar, so that the stair can be opened from below with an Attunement Sphere.  When this extra copy is activated, the original will be activated as well and its own scripts will fire, opening the staircase.

Fair warning: I haven't tested running through the ruins backwards starting from the staircases.  From a quick look, I don't think this will break any quests, but if you have mod-added quests involving the ruin or I simply misread something, it's possible.  If you're concerned, the 'safe' way to use this mod would be to go up through the staircase, loot the last room, and leave through the lift.  I'm fairly certain this will cause no problems.  If you do go through a ruin backwards and encounter a problem, let me know and I'll add a warning.

Installation

Simply grab one of the four main files and open it with your mod manager (or unzip into the data folder).  Versions labeled USSEP depend on the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch and forward the changes it makes to the activators; versions labeled non-USSEP do not.  Versions labeled ESP contain a normal ESP, while versions labeled ESL-flagged contain an ESL-flagged ESP that does not count towards the limit of 256 ESPs.  Thanks to WalksInDreams for creating the ESL-flagged versions!

I recommend loading this mod early in your load order, so it will be overwritten by most of your other mods.  The reason for this is that if there is a conflict with another mod (presumably one that also edits those three activators), overwriting the changes by this mod will simply mean that the new activators don't open the staircase, while overwriting the other could cause issues that aren't as easy to identify.

Troubleshooting

This plugin edits the existing activators to have the corresponding new one as an activate master, so there could be conflicts with other mods that directly edit these items.  If you see the mechanism spin but the staircase doesn't drop, this is a possible cause.  Let me know if you see this.  I can make a patch if you identify the conflicting mod.

There could also be strange behavior if this mod is installed on an existing save where the staircase has previously been opened, and then the cell reset.  I haven't tested such cases in depth.

Let me know if you encounter any other issues with the mod.  It's a very small plugin, so I don't think much could go wrong, but leave a comment if it does and I'll take a look.  As always, please do keep a save from before you install the mod just in case.
