is it possible to use animation of firestorm with another kind of spell in mind? like a restoration ward bubble. i'm thinking the moment an NPC or the player does this master spell, that it could create a big bubble around the player and leave enough room for other followers within the bubble, were they could fight within the ward bubble with magic but outside the bubble attackers can't get through the bubble. the spell will weaken as it's being attacked giving the player the ability to hold the bubble in place for long periods of time depending on the players level of skill and their pool of magica and depends on what spells the enemy NPC's are using, also it would be cool to see an effect of when the spell is about to die out, the player could finish the animation and the bubble could burst and send a shock wave to any enemy NPC who is close to the bubble so that you can recover and not immediately be attacked as the bubble fails. maybe it doesn't need the fire storm animation, so that the player can cast and let the bubble hold in place allowing the player to remain within the bubble and still have the ability to attack the enemies. i also wonder if the bubble could possibly change color as it weakens, like from a blue tint to a yellow to red when it's about to fail.

This mod changes the vendors' inventory, yeah?
So if I use it with Apocalipse and other spell mods like Shadow Spell Pack, will they conflict?

Also, is the Expert version compatible with Ordinator and other perk overhauls?

Downloaded, additem'd spellbook for force cloak, cast force cloak, pretty cloak sx activated, ran into first bandit I saw, bandit attacks went right thro to my healthbar as if no ward was active at all.

Tested again a couple times, spell fx is cast but no protection whatsoever is active.

Hey, I have an idea, I read about the staggering effect you put when the effect ends... I was wondering if it would be possible to put that to scale in the regular wards.
I mean, I know some mods out there make it so that wards block weapons, but then I thought that wouldn't stop enemies from just attacking again, and you'd have
to deal with mathematical differences in block and damage.
So, what if it were possible to add a fus, or fus-ro, stagger when the ward points get depleted, but integrated to the scaling of lesser ward - fus, steadfast ward - fus-ro
Possibly even adding an optional file that goes upto a fus-ro-dah level push back when the ward gets depleted by getting attacked with weapons.
I always imagined wards to somehow explode out ward when it reaches it's limit, doesn't have to do any damage, but keeps the caster safe for the downtime.
Since, there is an absence of fully fleshed out spell cooldown mods, maybe for balance purposes, consider that when the ward explodes both the attacker and the caster gets staggered, so there is an actual downtime or penalty for over extending the limits of wards.

What do you think? Is it actually doable with the tools in the CK, etc?

Is there any problem using this with Deadly Combat and its ward changes? Just let Loot sort the load order? Which version should I install, the vanilla or the one without any optional files? Or will this screwup DC's ward changes?

Good, good. One minor quibble, though: I would have called the Expert-level spell "Grand Ward", in analogue to "Grand Healing", as I notice "Force Cloak" is already in analogue to the existing "Cloak" spells.
