    just add this to your skyrim.ini under
    [Display]
    iAdapter=1

    0 is your main screen 1 is the second, 2 is the third etc.

      I can't achieve 144 fps with that method as I am only HDMI(2.1) to my monitor.
      (I have to use my usb 3.1 (Thunderbolt/Alternate Display Port) connection to my sound system in order to pass Dolby and DTS encoding to it)

      If the graphic generation is initiated on my primary system and extended to my secondary monitor I still get 144 FPS. I just got a device today that should effectively create a 2nd usb 3.1 connection and I can use your method (Thank you) and get even better color. I've been going nuts with a keyboard based workaround for awhile and finally created this hack to eliminate the hassles.

      Figured it might be helpful for others in a similar spot. I'm going to add your suggestion to the description and clarify why this might be needed. I'm realizing I may not have emphasized the FPS piece appropriately.

    If you want to be able to utilize the script and launch the game through Vortex

    You'll need Hijack the SKSE launcher in the Vortex dashboard

    Rename the skse64_loader.exe to skse64_loader-144.exe
    Reset the target in my script fo point to skse64_loader-144.exe
    Compile and deploy the compiled script in the game directory
    Create a hardlink from the script to skse64_loader.exe
    https://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html

    I then made the skse tool my primary and I can launch from Vortex into the secondary extended display while still working on other things in my primary window.
