Someone was concerned about the 'dead' eyes issue with the NPC's. The eyeballs don't move subtly back and forth as they should. High Poly Head was made to work with Expressive Facial Animation and its requirements. Using this mod without Expressive Facial Animations installed can cause issues such as mouth clipping or eyes looking odd. You don't have to have it if you don't mind the eyeballs not subtly moving. I have facegenmorphs in my mod already, so there should be no clipping, etc.

If you want to remove NPCs from my mod, you can do so in SSEEedit. It looks daunting, but if I can do it, seriously, anyone can because I'm a techno-idiot. When you open SSEEdit after downloading, it will bring up all your mods. Right-click anywhere and click 'show none' or something to that extent so it unticks all the mods. Then at the top search for my mod by name (PA44 will do). Double click the mod. It will open up all the assets in my mod. Go to Non-Playable Characters, right-click and click remove (not remove filter) for each character you want to get rid of. It will ask you if you're sure, just click yes. Save mod (see the three dashes at the top left? Click that and it will give you the option to save mod.) That's it. You will only have whatever NPCs you want in there. THEN you need to go to the other mod you want to replace my NPC with and delete theirs.

For example: If you only want my Vilkas, you can remove all my NPCs and leave him in there. If you have another NPC mod that changes the Companions, you will need to REMOVE their Vilkas that you are replacing to prevent the blackface bug.

Thanks to smr1957 and sattyre for the heads up on the blackface issue if you edit.

A friend downloaded this and saw Kodlak's hair off-color. I didn't realize it was because of Superior Lore-Friendly Hair - HD. It changes the color of the vanilla hairs. So Kodlak is using vanilla and it will appear slightly off-color from his beard and brows without this mod. If it bugs you, you can download the mod. It's on Oldrim mod, but it's just a texture file and it works and will fix the color the way I intended it to be.

There were some NPCs getting blackface from my mod, some head part that was added for some unknown reason...I'm quite at a loss, but it has been fixed and updated.

Those who have downloaded this mod before today, there is an update to fix the issue of the mod assets (head parts) duplicating in Race Menu when creating a new character. This has been fixed with the updated mods.

    Hello...

    It looks great ...
    One question...

When installing v. USSE 1.2 - I understand that I don't have to install The Companions Presets 1.1?

No, the presets are just for your character creation. They aren't required at all...only for your enjoyment if you want to look like Farkas or Vilkas

And, go ahead and install 1.3 because I just did an update. There was a head part creating blackface on some NPCs.

Sorry, 1.2 IS USSEEP... my bad. 1.3 is regular version.

You mentioned so I am asking... I would like a complete set for Vanilla (including 'Old Guys'). While I appreciate the hi-poly, and I am probably not alone, I do not want to fool with it... just a nice mod that handles the men. So, unless it can be baked into the mod so I an add these overhauls without fooling with hi-poly, I prefer a vanilla version (same for Thieves Guild).

I understand, if you do not want to, but you said ask... which I do because I love the style of your work and hope to include as a part of my mod list. Thanks, and great work regardless.

Well, my offer was for the 'presets' for character creation. I added four presets in HPH that require the mod. I'm not doing the NPC's in vanilla if that is what you're asking. There is no need. High Poly Head IS baked in there, as I explained in my description along with the hairs and eyes. No requirements are necessary for this mod of NPCs . If you're referring to presets for creating your own character, that I can do.

    Hi PoeticAnt44,

    Great mod! Thanks!

Just a remark though...It seems that the normal "textures\xsummer\s4 hair\wing 1114m_n.dds" is missing from the archive.

Also a bunch of morph files are overwriting those of Racemenu...is it safe to overwrite them?

Sneaky little texture file! Thanks for the heads-up. I have added the updated mod. As for the files overwriting in RM, I was aware and my last update had fixed that already. I forgot to just 'untick' the 'playable' in the head parts, though it didn't have any effect on the game or NPCs. It just duplicated the head parts. Thanks!

Come on guys, this is one of the best male NPC replacers on Nexus, so 18 endorsements ehh ???

Now that I realize that you're a female, it all makes sence, this community def needs more female modders, I love your take on these tough guys , THANKS!
    (I'm a male:)

Edit: Just visited your homepage, AMAZING art !!, your "Women on vintage paper" is so beatifull, now it becomes an honor to have your creations in my game...
Can't help it, but wonder how your take on some of the games female characters would look like ;)

You are so sweet! I'm so glad you like it! Yes, men aren't nearly as popular as the women, but that's OK. I enjoyed creating them and I know those who wanted better men appreciate them.

And thank you for your take on my art! My Website is a bit outdated and doesn't have anything current, but I'm glad you like it. It's funny because I mostly paint women and can barely paint men to save my life, but I find I can do men relatively well in creating characters in the game lol. Go figure.

I do want to do women, but there are already so many great women mods out there. I've done a few women characters that I've shared in my character creator if you want to take a look in my images, though I mainly use Charmers of the Reach. That's my next project is to figure out how to mod with it, much more complicated than HPH.

      Thanks again

Wow, you surely are here to rescue the poor men of Skyrim by making them look so worthy! As a female gamer this is an absolute joy!
Farkas and Vilkas (especially Vilkas) are my favourite men of Skyrim. Thank you :-)

Yay! I'm so glad you like them! Yes, I'm on a desperate mission to give all the Barbies of Skyrim some Ken dolls . I too am a female gamer and I have been unhappy with most Vilkas replacers, which was what really got me started in learning how to do this in the first place. It was always Vilkas lol.

You sure did Vilkas justice (and the rest of the guys), he is gorgeous! I think my character will definitely have to marry him as well if that’s possible (she’s also married to my Jon Snow character lol!)

i'm glad someone is doing the men, it's weird having a skyrim full of drop dead gorgeous women and men who resemble every drunk bum i ever threw out of a bar. if you ever feel like making less...gorgeous...edits (like salt and wind or the bijin make-up remover) i'd be a big fan. you do a great job keeping the vanilla feel though, i don't wonder around constantly asking who's that? and i really appreciate that.

LOL! Thank you!! Yes, I feel the same way...too many gorgeous women and all the men looked like they were hit in the face with a dirty frying pan . I'm not going to touch the women (boy, did that come out wrong). I actually like them as they are, plus all their skin edits and bodies are too complicated for my small tech mind. I was worried if people would recognize the men. I showed a friend 'Brynjolf' and she uses vanilla assets, but with skin smoother, and she didn't recognize him at all LOL. But I did want something a bit comparable to Bijin or Pandorable, but male version, though not making the old men look young again, though I'm sure the old men would have appreciated being young once more .

lol right? i had to learn how to remove some of the women from the other edits because they were just too changed, like mama gray-mane suddenly becoming the youngest women in town

So if I loaded this before Male Npc Overhaul, would this mod only effect the men it's changing and still work fine with MNO? Sorry if it's a dumb question still kinda new to modding and I want Vilkas to look his best :3

Well, my mod would overwrite all the Companions. But if you want to remove ALL but Vilkas from my mod, you can do so in SSEEedit. THEN I believe you put my mod AFTER the other NPC mod you want to overwrite Vilkas with.
