Great mod, and the animations look really good. However, they change position every few seconds. Is there any way to extend the period before switching?
I've noticed that you are only replacing "chair_idlebasevar1.hkx", this leads to characters randomly reverting to vanilla sitting animations. You see, the sitting animation is not only 1 sitting animation but actually a set of animations, these are:

To fully replace vanilla animations with your custom animations, you should replace every animation listed with your animation, so whenever de game switches to any of those random chair_something.hkx, it still switches to your custom animation and not vanilla. Hope I explained myself correctly. If not, take a look at Dynamic Sitting Idles
This mod does not replace !! He adds several chair_idlebasevar1.hkx but nothing prevents you from adding something else from elsewhere Dar distributes to him on a generally "random" condition the animations chair_idle mt idle ....
My mistake, bad choice of words, I know this mod doesn't replace as in "overwrite vanilla animations completely and never see them in the game again" and just adds a variation. What I meant was that when a character sits, it doesn't simply play just "chair_idlebasevar1.hkx" but instead it plays that animation list randomly, so in order for DAR sitting animations to be more consistent, they have to switch all of the animations in the list too.
Actually no ! The mod of your link has replaced all the animations you mentioned everytime the 5 animations of his mod Same size ! view with hkxPoser on nexus (modify share), identical , which is useless ,and replaces them all precisely !!
All the animations you quote are vanilla seats !! Bethesda don't use "Dar" on nexus (he should :p) ! so the names are different. only one animations is played at a time. to my knowledge only "player tracking" on nexus can make your head spin and play the animation at the same time. you can add vanilla , if you are nostalgic rep 16191427 put your vanilla animations (bsa extractor mod) copy condition text "player only" "female only" "child" ect..( see Dar for info) Add yours favorites , as it was said below " The Ultimate Sit Animation" on Nexus rep 16191428 ect..

I understood what you were saying @silvermetal. Did copying the sitting animation and renaming the copies to fill for the other vanilla sitting animations fix the frequency of seeing the animation? Also, is the Special_Jarlchairidlewr.hkx part of a set as well? If so, what are the names of the other animations?
First off, I like this a lot. Very nicely done. But I'm still getting a lot of vanilla sits on NPCs. Is that normal? Is there a way to dial it back somehow? I'm assuming it's user error on my part.
Yep, same here. NPCs sit in the vanilla pose like 99% of the time. I've only once seen an NPC switch to a pose from this mod, but then quickly switch back to vanilla. The mod works fine for my character though (the poses are very natural, good job).
I've tried picking multiple poses as well as only a single pose in the FOMOD. It makes no difference.
I also use the jumping animation mod from the Pretty series and that works fine, as well a bunch of other NPC animations from CHIMGarden and Everglaid. They all work. It's just the NPC animations from this mod that aren't playing for whatever reason.
when npc are drinking/eating, they switch to other sit idle files, so you will not see npc play my sit idle when they sit and doing something else, its other vanilla sit idle eg: siteat.hkx sitdrink.hkx etc...
I got my version from LL and i dont see any vanilla animations anymore, only with the Nexus version. I'm looking for patches or want to know if there is one for "sit anywhere". That'd be nice.
For some reason, I cannot get these animations to work for me. I can get everything else to work for me like idle animations and different combat styles but sitting animations just remain vanilla for some odd reason and I cannot find the culprit. I run Nemesis every time I have installed/removed animations. Can anyone help?
Piggybacking on the comment; I am concerned that DAR isn't working fully with the "Pretty" series DAR pack mods due to AE being 1.64 vs 1.629 (most recent version compatible with DAR). I haven't gotten any DAR idle/sit mod packs to work myself. If anyone figures out a solution, please let RUcereal and myself know!

EDIT : ok, I managed to make them work together. im a noob in DAR, but... What I did : I installed the Pretty sit with female poses 02, 03, 06, 08, 11, 12. my test subject was pose 12. I took the _conditions file out, uninstalled Pretty sit. I installed Pretty sit again without pose 12, created a folder 16191607(before it was the folder for pose 12), took the animation folder(female) out of Ultimate sit archive(00000007) and placed it in created folder along with _conditions file. Now they work together. Simply replacing wasnt working. Please tell me if I did something wrong and it may cause problem in future =\
Trying to figure out why my player character won't sit down anymore, they go to sit down and get right back up it's quite frustrating. NPCs and everyone else still have the ability and use this mod.
