This mod is a patch for WOMEN OF SKYRIM
To get a more vanilla friendly look, yet with improved details.

For people who do not use any body replacer, there is a VANILLA body patch in this mod. However WOMEN OF SKYRIM is still required.

    LE version

I've always wanted something to update the vanilla heads&quality while still allowing me to have the vanilla character design for dunmer visible. I just love their cute wrinkles and alien look, its such a unique character design among elves, i always hate to lose it!

I was so excited when i saw that this addon delivers exactly that, so thank you so much for making this addon!
(added a few images for the dunmer as well : ) )

Hi, I read the description multiple times but the installation is not clear to me. My mind is probably tired, but I have the main file only. If I'm using Vanilla, I should get the vanilla optional file as well correct?

you need this mod as the descripton page says:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20555

(UNP version, sicne there's an installer, it also contains vanilla version, you just run the installer int he mod manager and pick)

That mod i just linked you above, requires another mod: (which is bndled into ALL body replacers, but since you use vanilla, you'll need it, or your characters will have the blockfeet vanilla has).
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32418

Then you can instal this mod.

optionally this mod offers a dirty skin option for vanilla bodies. which is what you're referring to... but that alone will leave you with missing files, from the other 2 mods.

this is the custom setup i use in my game.
it's not a skinmod, just an optional patch to the main women of skyrim mod.

You want an easy to install vanilla skin bundle, try this:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/53030?tab=files

guess i should have made a vanilla bundle lol. maybe some other day.

Sorry, should of mentioned I have the prerequisites already. I was just referring to the relationship between the main the the optional mod(s). Though thanks for your detailed explanation. Im going back and forth with the vanilla version to see which id prefer. I'm also using the dirt and blood mod and it applies dirt to certain types of NPCs so leaning towards without the optional. I'm also using the less makeup option. Any way you can make the no makeup option? Just want to see how it looks without it so no biggie.

it's dirtier, and imo more in line with the overall feel of this skin :)

the less makeup option, already has no makeup, except eyelashes, can shoot you a file an a few hours, with the no makeup from original WOS eye style.

      Edit. Added.

Woah did not expect that! Thanks so much! I'll try it as soon as i can

Edit: Funnily enough, the eye lashes was what irked me enough lol

Hi ZZJay, I really like this normal map, but you mentioned in the front page that to use this with other textures aside from Women of Skyrim, I need to get the optional "Body normal maps". Which one is that? Thank you!

The description is copied from the Legendary edition version. that option is not supported in SE.

      Changed description for clarity.

The mod is a compendium to Women of skyrim. Without it it'll have neck colour difference.

you don't need that. you don't just upscale normalmaps for no reason it kills performance and details.

high resolution normalmaps cannot be handpainted, you need to make a 3dsculpt of the details,as explained here.

Hm, interesting. Can the same be said for the diffuse? I I think I use a 4k or 2k head diffuse.

4k on head you can do that...but if it's shared by ALL NPCS it'll greatly impact your performance. i Prefer to keep 2k, since at 1080p you don't see any difference.

it depends on the original resolution of the map. if you get a map meant for 2k...upscaling to 4k just kills it. if the texture is meant for 4k,then it can do wonders if you play at very high resolutions.

Body instead is always better at 4k, since it's bigger than the head, you need more space for details.

Item size and texture size go hand in hand.
for example a 4k earring texture is just trash...no matter thedetail it uses, it''s wasted on an earring.

Thanks for porting this to SE! If I am using the mod "Vanilla Body with UNP Textures" do I still need the vanilla patch on this page?

      No.
You do need it if you want ugly dirty textures.

Pic number 4/6 looks like a slightly younger version of our First Lady. Not trying to get political. Just an observation.
