I haven't gotten Vlindrel Hall yet so I can't test this yet- does this work with the AE patch? I'm not sure about downgrading my game, but this looks like just what I want in Vlindrel Hall!
It doesn't require SKSE so it shouldn't really matter. Unless some of the CC addons adds something to the house, which I have no way to test as I only got the free version.
Another keeper - because of the cot. Besides there's another bed I can use for a companion in a certain house. And using Renounce outside that particular house after accepting to help the Vigilant keeps the place nice and tidy.
It's more than I couldn't see a comfy noble bed in a corner of the dining hall. :) In other homes with a more manageable architecture I made nicer homes for guests. Not in Markarth. In Markarth guests are food, not friends.
I love what you've done with the place! Nothing extravagant, just simple, tasteful and rather elegant. I love it! I like that you move the alchemy lab to the enchanting room with the addition of the children's room. That's an especially nice touch. It reads like one must pay for both options, first alchemy, then the kid's room, which is fine, to be expected actually. I took a manual DL today in hopes of being the first to endorse this fine looking mod immediately! I do have one idea for you if it would be at all possible in a future update... I never keep the kid's in Vlindrel Hall. I just can't stand the idea of any children in my charge being so close to not only the forsworn menace but known cannibals as well! So, I was wondering if a minor forge would be possible in place of the kid's room. Just a hearthfire anvil (like just outside all the hearthfire homes), a grindstone, armorer's work table and tanning rack would be perfect, if possible... maybe two or three chests for storage of ingots, arms and armor. It need not be fancy, just functional. I do not wish to speak for your time and effort which may be rather slim in availability. I use the mod Staff of Shalidor which allows me to carry an inter-dimensional player home in my inventory. It features all the basic crafting amenities and I always have it on me. So, this request is by no means a necessity. I just thought it would make the perfect touch to such a lovely mod Thank you!!! Mods are gifts and this is a rather nice one. Thank you!!! TY! I could make an alternate version in the future, but I think the main file should keep the vanilla options (I mean I wouldn't take kids to Markarth either but I don't like removing the possibility). I'll look into alternate versions once I'm 100% sure nothing needs fixing for the reasons you can guess. I'm also keeping compatibility in mind which is why I'm hesitant about adding anything to the exterior, entrance or such. I'm considering a few options right now.
