Hi Bluntaxe, I was wondering if I could have permission to upload the Scholar's Basement for SSE? I've converted it and made a few fixes for personal use, and I think it's such a great mod - there's no other Library mod quite like it.
OK, I'll work on making this page better, but here are pictures of what goes where. I'll try to get them in a more logical order eventually, but they're at least grouped by room. I'll work on adding more text too (like listing things out and maybe where some of the potions can be found)
I'll also try to summarize any tips from this board, like the info from the mod author that hearthfire is capped as to how many ingots it will store with the rest going to the smithing room.
I'm still confused about the first room on the left as you come down the ladder. There is a secondary room behind it. If I am looking at these pictures correctly it hold the pelts? I see some ingots to the right in the picture. I have fully stocked all ingots in the other room and have none on this shelf. What is this room for? There doesn't appear to be a claw/ball on the wall in this room so I assume it is stocked from the first room?
Issues with ingredients and items meant for a particular room, not also showing up in other rooms where they should be placed. Example: Chitin, Jazbay, Salt, and Moon Sugar aren't being sorted and placed in the Alchemy/Ingredient room. As well as the leftmost room from the very entrance not stocking pelts or ingots as they should be. Any tips? Could it be a conflict with another mod?
I absolutely love this mod! There are plenty of other mods that sort as well or better but I haven't found anything like the displaying of items in this mod. But...
It's getting kind of old. There have been a lot of changes and additions recently and an updated version would be appreciated so very much!
Not much chance of that I think. Mod Author is rarely on and has not touched any mod since 2016(this mod actually) so I dont see him suddenly updating this. It is more likely that another author will make something similar at some point but even that is slim, these kinds of mods are just not so popular anymore.
I like the look of this mod but have a few questions. Can you add items individually or will it take all items out of your inventory and display them? I assume you can pick them back up again if needed? The description says you can use this mod on modded homes. I am confused when it says you can use a spell but the spell is in the basement. I am currently using Lonewolf's Manor. It has an entry level and a lower level on the same loading screen. It has a treasure room in a separate loading screen and a mine in a separate loading screen through a trap door. Where would I go to cast this spell and would it disable the treasure room or the mine?
Update: Never mind. I downloaded the mod and it placed a trap door outside Lakeview Manor by the workbench. The original basement was still accessible from inside the home. It didn't feel realistic to have 2 separate basements. I didn't play with the mod too much but it appears there is no way to store single items. I like to manage my inventory myself. If this mod allowed you to approach a particular section and place a specific number of each item I might use it.
You can add as many items to the storage chest in each area as you want, then empty everything else out, and click on the orb that automatically sorts and it will plug missing items into the display. It's a bit of a hassle, but honestly, I am a hoarder in game, and I love having safe storage from the start of the game (since I know where the player houses WILL be, the basements are accessible right away.) Anything it pulls out of your inventory, you can get back, it's just a matter of knowing which room it's stored in. You can also store anything in any chest, it's just that it won't be able to display items that aren't associated with that chest.
Is there a similar mod for armor? I would like to deposit my armor and have it all autoload onto mannequins. It's hard to keep track of if I have matching boots, gloves helm for a chest piece. Thanks.
Really love this mod. As a hoarder, inventory and chest management is awful without this.
Would be fantastic if it could be updated to include some of the AE content, e.g. Myrwatch. And if there was some way to make carrying capacity near-infinite while in the basement, to deal with the 'loot everything' slowness, that would be incredible. But as is, this is an incredibly useful mod. Thanks!
May I suggest adding code for the ingredients, foods, and miscellaneous crafting mats added by creation club content (such as the fishing mod, saints and seducers, rare curios (yes these are the ones I personally have and use).
My other suggestion is the ability to only sort and stock ingredients in the alchemy room or ingredients and potions.
If only there was a way to add an Armory either attached to this or as a separate mod. Then pair it with Adventurer's Basement-Place Door anywhere. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32272

I've been trying to figure out a few items that I kept missing.

to connect the Adventurer's Basement with Armory mods like these ones (second one is way more than just an armory room):
