Just installed this mod for the first time after one of my Twitch viewers suggested it. Really cool mod and love that it slots right in even with extensive modlists like Lorerim. And I love that you can add custom trapdoors to access it from other homes.
I always come back to this specific mod to see if there are any updates, even if I don't have Skyrim installed. Literally this, and SKYUI are the only 2 mods I need to play.
The day this mod and Scholar's Library SSE get fusioned, or at least both udpated, i will explode in happiness hahah
Omg please do this idk what your working on but I’ll get people on nexus to pay your salary till you finish this , this is the only mod I would choose if I had to pick just one. Great mod man tnx for the hard work on it
+1 I build my game around this mod, even before SE I used Blacksmith's Basement - BHM. Every couple of months I check for an update, but . I would like a container/chest for each room/group labled 'Other' for items that are still in inventory after sorting. for example, after sorting 'ingredients' and i still have ingredients from other mods in my inventory, it would put the remaining ingredients into separate chest/container, same with potions, ore, books, misc (paper ink hides etc) & gold.
and a room full of mannequines that can hold weapons & shields or dual weapons.
Hi Bluntaxe, I love to see you here. I wanted to ask something of you - have you ever considered adding the scholar's library to the basement, sort of merging both mods into one? Thanks for your great mods. Used them for years.
Please pleaseeee tell me someone did this ! I cannot play without this mod anymore and having both in the basement is the only thing that I need ! I would love to do it but I really suck at this stuff. ps: love the fact that bluntaxe drop this two peak mods and stop modding lol amazing
This mod has been a permanent part of my mod list since the day I found it. If I could only use one mod, it would be this one.
Unfortunately, though I've managed to turn the rest of the game into a 2030 masterpiece, the Basement is still using the old meshes and textures for the kitchen items. My mead bottles and sweet rolls look very different in the world than in the basement, and all my apples are octagon shaped. Does anyone have an idea about how to fix that? It's not a big deal, just a little jarring when you get used to high poly meshes and then you run into the vanilla atrocities that Bethsda calls dessert.
Hi Bluntaxe, I was wondering if I could have permission to upload the Scholar's Basement for SSE? I've converted it and made a few fixes for personal use, and I think it's such a great mod - there's no other Library mod quite like it.
OK, I'll work on making this page better, but here are pictures of what goes where. I'll try to get them in a more logical order eventually, but they're at least grouped by room. I'll work on adding more text too (like listing things out and maybe where some of the potions can be found)
I'll also try to summarize any tips from this board, like the info from the mod author that hearthfire is capped as to how many ingots it will store with the rest going to the smithing room.
I'm still confused about the first room on the left as you come down the ladder. There is a secondary room behind it. If I am looking at these pictures correctly it hold the pelts? I see some ingots to the right in the picture. I have fully stocked all ingots in the other room and have none on this shelf. What is this room for? There doesn't appear to be a claw/ball on the wall in this room so I assume it is stocked from the first room?
Issues with ingredients and items meant for a particular room, not also showing up in other rooms where they should be placed. Example: Chitin, Jazbay, Salt, and Moon Sugar aren't being sorted and placed in the Alchemy/Ingredient room. As well as the leftmost room from the very entrance not stocking pelts or ingots as they should be. Any tips? Could it be a conflict with another mod?

Adding the missing Books and (maybe trophies) would make it the best part of Skyrim homes ever and a candidate for best mod ever.
Alas I don't have time to work on modding anymore :-(

I've been trying to figure out a few items that I kept missing.
