    Thanks for this!
I use "Improved Camera" for first person view in my regular SE game.
One of the unfixed bugs of this mod is exactly the problem of Candlelight in the face. If your mod also fixes that issue then I'll let you know.

I also use "improved camera" and I can confirm that it works. No more bright light in my face. Thanks for this great mod, man.

Sorry to take a while to come back, Rallyeater. My game disintegrated (usual story...lol). Had to rebuild it all.

I too can confirm (late to the parade) your mod absolutely solves the issue with the candlelight position and the Improved Camera mod!
Woo hoo! No more burnt out eyes! By the way, for anyone who uses the ENB Particle Patch you must make sure this mod is loaded after that and overwrites it. Otherwise the ENB PP will overwrite the fix.

    Cheers!

    Great Mod, thank you.
This mod is incompatible with "Mysticism" though, not sure why that is, it does adjust the candlelight spells duration. Loading your fix after Mysticism does not help.

i don´t know that mod, but my guess is that it replaces the meshes of spells with custom ones or changed names/paths.

Just figured this out.  You need to change this mods path to "\meshes\magus\mysticism" and the lightspellactorfx.nif will be replaced correctly with Mysticism.  So much better with this mod.

Excellent mod. It also fixed the problem that when you sprinted, the candlelight would go down to your face.

I don't know what my problem is but candlelight only works when I don't have a weapon equipped. I cast it, nothing , until i put my weapons away and everything is suddenly illuminated. ?

This mod just replaces the effect mesh, it doesn't change the spell itself. So it'll work just fine with quick light.

Over two years late but it wasn't compatible for me.
I fixed it by just copying and renaming the empty mesh file to Quick Light's respective folder. Just copy the folders from my link to you Mod Manager/game folder and you're good to go! :)

Since I needed it even after all this time I decided to share my fix. Someone else is bound to get some use out of it. :)

How did you change the color of Magelight to purple? I've been trying to find the branch in NifScope that you did it with, but I'm not having much luck.

Fantastic mod that finally fixed and issue i had with my ultrawide monitor at 90 fov.

I am using this with rudy enb, particle patch for ENB, and ENB light for those of you wondering. Just make sure this mod loads after particle patch and enb light.

One other thing, this will make the candle light spell dimmer as it is further up in the air away from your head. A small price to pay for not being blinded every ten seconds.

I use ENB light as well. I was thinking of keeping the ENB light, but allowing the change of position. Which two of the three files would I need to delete to let ENB particle light affect the glow and light, but allow the change of position?

enb light changes the meshes. since my mod alters the vanilla meshes too, you´d have to copy/paste the enb light changes to my meshes. should be doable with NifSkope.

When observing 3rd person, If I rotate the camera behind me the mage light completely disappears & the natural lighting takes over.

Im using this in VR and it's still shining directly in my face.  Any idea why?  im using the FUS wabajac modlist so I ASSUME it's working fine.

I chatted with the FUS guys and they'll take a look. Apparently something with the folder structure got messed up.
Might be worth joining their discord for wj support, they're very active :)

THANK YOU!I was finishing up my VR modlist and testing Dungeon Darkness and came upon a Candlelight scroll; I naively used it, thinking how nice and helpful it would be in the pitch black, only to have it burn my retinas out of my head. This is such a godsend for VR, especially when combined with Better Magic Lighting to get a soothing warm color :) Why in the world did they stick that miniature sun right in front of your eyesballs?? Not only is it bright (and blue), but it is horribly in the way.
