What happens if I take out all items and uninstall this mod mod game? I’ve used this mod for a ton of my Xbox playthroughs. But in all honesty, this mod is very clunky and annoying to use with a controller. The fact that items have to be manually moved back to your inventory before using them, with no button to quick move items, is so frustrating and makes me just not want to craft sometimes. And I’m planning on just using a zero weight crafting items mod. No shade in your mod though. It’s just too frustrating for me. So what’s like the worst case scenario if I remove it mid game with all items removed from the bag?
I have used this mod in previous playthroughs on the X Box and found it to be a great addition to my game and I thank you for that. however, on PC it is not the same story as it blanks out my screen after loading. Game is up and running but blank screen. If there are any ideas out there I would entertain them. As it stands, this mod is not as compatible as indicated. Not finding fault, simply stating facts.
"Materials must be transferred back out of the Crafting Bag before they can be used for crafting" HOW IS THIS DONE??? Things I want to trade or give to an NPC is stuck in the bag with NO apparent way of getting anything out of the bag!! Your instructions on how to actually use this mod is rather skimpy.
few things of note bruh: 1. the bag does not allow mod-added items e.g. 'Wolf's Eye' from some mod that I use. perhaps can use mechanic like what Functional Bags use. IMHO it reads by item type like Ingredients, Ores, Ingots, not by static list that needs patching. Of course I could be wrong on how he/she implement it. But something for future update, I suppose 2. Unfavoritable. Not easily accessible. I have to open inventory, go to Misc, then click on the bag itself. Equippability might solve this. 3. Interesting interaction with Honed Metal. Crafting materials that are added to your inventory during ordering (e.g. enchanting service, which adds like 50 of each soulgems to your inventory) will be automatically added to the bag. Neat, I admit. but when playing a serious character, it's no fun getting that amount of freebies each time. 4. Hotkeys are desperately needed. Again, I will refer to Functional Bags here. I really feel that users need what would be a combination of that mod and this mod. Streamlined use (bravo!) with a moderate amount of control during storing and drawing item from the bag. Overal, awesome mod! I'll just go back to Functional Bags for now, since it caters to my need for now. Until updates made (if you see it fits the direction of this mod of course) I'll keep a close eye on this mod. Lastly ... f*#@ing WELL DONE! AWESOME! EN-f*#@ing-DORSED haha
Thank you for your feedback! - A coming update should resolve the unusual mod-added items issue. This is caused by a keyword check that not all mods add. As this is a bit redundant I will be making it type-check only, solving this issue!
- Will look into favoritability per your suggestion
- I'm looking into a solution to prevent items being added to the bag when in dialogue, which would solve the Honed Metal behavior. This one is potentially more tricky to implement in a way everyone would be happy.
great. now I'm questioning whether to delay load order rebuild or not haha
just a suggestion, I think auto-add to bag prevention during dialogue is a bit wobbly. some modder may add item during convo, some may after (which could bypass your fix altogether). simple manual input to toggle auto-add could be the way to go.
That's a good point about item dialogue! I may just go with MCM support.
If it helps you decide, the update should be live over the coming weekend, but of course you're welcome to go with another mod!
Edit: Unexpected delays during the update. Currently implemented: Toggleable auto-add by category, silent mode, hotkey & favourites menu compatibility.
Great Mod, Endorsed. Project AHO has some minor issues as it removes your inventory and part of the quest requires you to collect ingredients. Easy fix is to just temp is to untick it from your load order.
Would it be possible to stop the bag from automaticly taking empty soul gems, as trying to fill them and forgetting they're all in the bag has been a little frustrating. There was one other thing I had noticed but I forget what that was, maybe i'll remeber it later.
Thank you for your feedback! This is one I'll need to hear more support on, as the current system protects against accidentally soul trapping the wrong gem.
Was just going to comment on this. In fact I was going to ask if soul gems could be left out entirely. Already using GIST so small souls in big gems get replaced when a bigger one is available so accident soul trapping really is a non issue with that. Would really cut down on the tedium of having to move under filled soul gems.
I would also love the ability to exclude soul gems from automatically going into the crafting bag. I am using GIST, so the souls transfer into the most appropriate gem, and if you a greater soul and the only greater soul gem you have has a petty soul, it pushes the petty soul into a lower ranked gem while making room for the greater soul in the greater gem. This depends on keeping all the gems in my inventory. An MCM option for this would be greatly appreciated.
With mods like GIST and Acquisitive Soul Gems being so widely used for so long, I'd say the majority of the modern playerbase doesn't have this issue. I'd definitely love to see empty soul gems excluded as well.
