Honestly I wont play any bethesda game without an autosave manager... the game is just way too unstable, and plus... sometimes I forget to pull up my inventory menu to autosave the game, cause my mind is... you know... BUSY PLAYING THE GAME!
My game started crashing at autosave yesterday. Did it 6 times at different locations, seemed to be when autosaving after going through a door. Do you think it could help if I disable autosave in my game settings and use this mod instead? Is that what this mod is meant for?
Hello! Crashing when autosaving while changing areas is usually a script-related issue as the game attempts to simultaneously load scripts and save their values. This occurs from broken/corrupted scripts, large script loads or just by having too much loading in while a save is being attempted.
It's possible your issues may disappear if you use this mod, but if the issue is severe enough or you stream data fast enough (ie. have a lot to load because of mods) you may simply crash while autosaving with this mod as it uses the standard autosave functions.
I recommend backing up your saves and testing with this mod, and if experienced looking into Fallrim Tools to help remove your issue.
It is not recommended to remove any plugin-based mod from any save game. That said, it was designed to be relatively safe to uninstall and should cause no issues specific to this mod.
to your Skyrim.ini at the bottom and set the number to however many saves you want! Mine is set to 99 and any other save method is only used when doing something silly like punching Nazeem in the face.
Does this create the infinite load screen bug that the vanilla autosave function when fast travelling (sometimes) has or is it a new system that shouldnt do so?
The code here uses the standard autosave in the base game. If you encounter problems with autosave, you will also encounter them with this mod - but I haven't had any issues during over a hundred hours with this installed over the last few years!

Good luck!

Sorry but can't find it in MCM?? But it only makes 3 Autosaves anyway before overwriting :-)
UPDATE:- OK, removed, re-downloaded and reinstalled, now working fine :-)
