*** READ ME FIRST BEFORE COMMENTING, THESE ARE THE MOST COMMONLY REPORTED ISSUES AND THEIR FIXES ***
This is from the original and is still true.
1. IF YOU HAVE SNOW OR WINTER TEXTURES ANYWHERE, you have another mod or loose texture files overriding this mod's textures. Look at the screenshots, both mine and user's. That's how it looks when properly loaded.
2. IF YOU HAVE WEIRD TREE BOXES, TREES LOOK STRANGE, OR TEXTURES DON'T LOOK RIGHT, the issue is with your texture quality settings in your graphics settings. This mod assumes high quality or better texture settings.
*** NEW From Me *** 3. For now there will be 2 separate downloads until I update all the textures and switch over to a master bsa file.
4. Changes to the esp for compatibility will be added along with a NMM for alternate textures if needed.
5. Update is still about a month out had to reinstall windows so I still need to set everything back up to work on the mod again. Expect it some time in Jan.
You can use vanilla as autumn since it was supposed to be in autumn, while winter can be done with Winter Overhaul 2019 mod. This mod is good to use for Spring/Summer at least unless you want to use a cherry blossom replacer for the aspen trees.
As I was being tired of snow (again), I disabled SoS (again), and came back to the Spring Overhaul (again). But I got few problems (again): Snow Drift are still applied (on vanilla spot usually ? didn't check all °°) Some Pine tree still got their "snowy" texture on (not the only tree type, but I've mostly seen them as I was running around Windhelm those last hours) Some textures incompatibilities (whitish/iced stones in Windhelm, as an example, with the flashy green shrub conversion)
For the first one, culprit seems to be iNeed Extended, and the 2nd is usually JK's. Or more exactly, even with Spring Overhaul at the bottommost part of my load order (nearly right before Bashed Patch), when the Bashed Patch is build it bypass Spring Overhaul and make the other changes from other mods take priority, or something like this ? (At least console say that those change origin is from the mods mentioned, and that they are lastly applied by my Bashed Patch)
Any option / solution which could improve this ? (Swapping iNeed for Sunhelm or Last seed isn't really an option as I found both more annoying than anything. Disabling iNeed would happen first :p)
They just debuted Seasons of Skyrim. But I still find that using this mod and a winter time skyrim mod are easier and more effective at giving Skyrim a version of seasons. And I am perfectly okay with snow being banished from the highest mountain tops. If you want it back, swap out the mod!
Amazing that everyone is praising seasons of skyrim, when this mod has been around for years and years. Thank you!
Is it really that shocking that people are praising Seasons of Skyrim? I get that you like this mod, but there's no denying that SOS is revolutionary and makes life 1000x easier than ever before. Infact, you could probably incorperate this mod's premise into Seasons of Skyrim as it has all the functionality.
Does Seasons of Skyrim remove the snow and ice from all Skyrim and turns icebergs into rocks, so that you could have a totally warm and green Skyrim with it (if you switch off season change)? Like with this mod?
Thanks for this mod, but I feel there are some places that should be snowy no matter what. I would love a version of this that changed the autumnal textures to green, but kept snow on the highest mountain peaks and north most of the map. Just a thought.
