Why this effect is even emissive. Those are show particle effects, highly reflective, refractive, but should not be emissive. Are you just editing the alpha? Making this thing emissive make it glow in the night, leaving this emissive and making it transparent is too subtle during the day.

Maybe its a time for REAL fix?

Because they modify the same files?

Since both mods seem to try to achieve the same thing, try them out and see which one you prefer. Note that this mod's scope is very contained - only two nifs.

Got the exact same issue. Removed most of my snow related mods but to no avail. Must be something else causing it Do you use "bright waterfall fix for ENB" ? Seems to be the culprit. This is what I found on reddit

      https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/ww1e4s/missing_blowing_snow_texture_on_the_way_to_high/

Bright Waterfall Fix for ENB has the wrong texture for fxambsnowblowingplaneheavy.nif, i was able to fix this on my game following the directions someone wrote on the mods bugs page. You'll need to open it in nifskope and correct the texture path

      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37956?tab=bugs

under "corrupted nif or missing texture"

EDIT: Can confirm the method described by newgene88 works.

The mod (meshes) does not require enb by itself. Try and see if you like it - it's easy enough to uninstall.

      not work.
      with enb, or without enb.
blowing snows are still blurry. bright.
I tried several enbs. rudy, panda, defaulto, with all enb mods in nexus.
I fixed my skyrim in every sense.
      in all matters.
      both logically.
      as well as gameplay.
      only 3 things left.
      this is one of them.
I wrote to big graphic modders everywhere but still no move from anyone.

It is possible the meshes bothering you isn't what's covered here (you can confirm it that's the case with a mod like More Informative Console).

Other than that, don't know what to tell ya. Perhaps mess with nifskope and make em exactly to your own liking.

How can i get darker snow like here on screenshots?

It's pretty much a combination of textures, lighting and ENB. Although I don't remember looking for darker snow texture specifically, so the screentshots here are probably most affected by lighting and ENB.

I can't remember my exact set-up tho, so I don't really have direct recommendations, unfortunately.

2 CTDs near Septimus Signus's Outpost

      [   1]    BSFadeNode(Name: null)
      [  52]    BSTriShape(Name: `Whisp05:0`)
      [  88]    BSFadeNode(Name: `FXAmbSnowBlowingDriftTip

Disabling the mod solves the CTD

Yep, its realy hard to say why, cuz when i went there for the first time during the quest "Discerning The Transmundane" everything was ok. To be more precise, it's closer to the college than to the Septimus Signus. The first screenshot was seconds before CTD; the second is exactly the area where the CTD occurred, perhaps because of the meshes marked in red.

Thanks. Hope all worked out in the end.

This mod is very simply just two vanilla meshes with some settings adjusted, along with a couple of textures. And if it works in one place, I honestly can't think of any reason why it would cause CTD in any other. But hey, Skyrim is jank like that.

You enb/graphic setup looks awesome btw.

This and your breath mod are awesome.

Any interest in toning down the frost effect that builds up on your character?

Do you mean the the one from wet and cold? I've actually been using R.A.S.S. for the frost effects. (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22780?tab=description) - though I did make tweaks to that one as well.
Hmm, I might be looking to make one for all three frost mods when I get a chance.

It looks odd when your looping gifs only show them with the mod turned on and not in the before version

haha, yes, I can see how that can be a bit confusing. Unlucky editing I suppose - that spell was active in both times I took those footage.

Btw this doesn't really require ENB does it, could it be used w/o one?

Technically no, but I wouldn't recommended it - see my reply to eLucifer below. Essentially, I think the vanilla meshes looks better than the ones provided in the particle patch, which was what prompted me to make this. But of course you can try and see which you prefer.
