the patch you recommended (for legacy of the dragonborn) doesn't really work with this mesh replacement, since it redirects the mesh path for manny's gray cowl to the file path for the creation club mesh. though it contains 2 files, one is the esp that replaces the mesh path, the other is a blank replacement for the creation club mod's plugin. if you just disable the esp but keep the esl i think it should work fine. though if you actually use lotd you might have problems with manny's quest.
either way, ironically if you use lotd what you should do is install that patch, keep both the esl replacement and the esp, and then install the CC version of this mod. that way the CC meshes get the cowl added, since the lotd patch is redirecting manny's gray cowl to use the CC mesh path. so if you're using lotd and manny's gray cowl, don't install the manny gray cowl version of this mod, install the CC version and the lotd patch. if you're using just manny's gray cowl and not lotd, install the manny gray cowl version of this mod and install the lotd patch but disable the esp that it comes with.
