fantastic mod maybe some way you can revert the blue fort ( icy) to normal and instead use the same process you did with the caves to make those "icy". with this mod you just rextured them blue, on the caves mod you made them actually have the icy shader effect on the rocks. i have used the imperial fort tex from "underground" to overwrite your icy tex in the meantime
One of the better retextures for Forts. I've been struggling with finding the perfect one. Only gripe with this one is that I wish it was a tad bit darker on the grey side. Obviously, it's a personal preference and no way shape or form am I stating that this retexture is a bad one.
Edit: Oh yeah, after spending a little bit more time with this mod. I can say that the interiors are absolutely amazing. If only the textures were a tad bit darker so that it doesn't look too clean, it would be perfect. Amazing retexture nonetheless.
Any idea what could cause this? I have several parallax meshes, but its just happening with your meshes only. What am I doing wrong? The shaders are installed correctly, and the log says all is fine. The Winterhold Meshes are with ENB pure white, and without...dark....no texture.
I just uploaded an ESPFE that should fix the issue. The problem has to do with the ash shader that's applied to objects in that region, being applied to an object that has parallax enabled. After I disabled the ash shader and went in game, everything appeared as it should. Were you saying there were also other meshes that had problems as well? Sorry for the issues, I guess the snow shader and ash shader function differently, and both don't work with parallax meshes the same way.
I checked Winterhold. The mesh is completely white or black. Makes sense, it’s a snow region. And ash and snow shaders are both....a pain. I don’t have dynamic snow installed. Because my plugins are at max xD atm. I have read something about parallax and those. I might try out dynamic snow and ash and see if this fixes everything. Would make those mods a requierement. Don’t worry. This is new territory. Like everything - trial and error. And creating mods and modding is a lot of work. Thanks for helping so fast! <3.
Ottherwise, do you have bEnableProjecteUVDiffuseNormals=1 in your skyrimprefs.ini? If not, I'm wondering if that could be the fix, because I know the meshes appear properly for me, but when I went to check the other ones they were bad to begin with so I knew it was a general problem. If you already have that enabled I'll have to do some digging.
You'll need the parallax meshes for the parallax textures to work if you grab one of those, otherwise with the non-parallax you only need your preferred resolution texture files.
Sorry for the delay I was at work, I found the problem meshes right away and uploaded the meshes without the bad files, otherwise you can delete the folder "customfx" out of the meshes folder included with those files if it's easier or you don't want to download again. I wasn't paying attention and included all imperial files, including the one where the fort caves in, which was causing the issue. I apologize to anyone who had issues because of this.
Thanks I'm actually working on a more vanilla cave texture mod right now, though it will also include what I believe will be some top tier ice caves. The idea is that they will hopefully actually look like ice.
Hey! Just to let you know I discovered a small immersion-breaking glitch related to these textures, regarding the Western Watchtower near Whiterun. I will post the screenshot in the Bugs section so that you can take a closer look at it.
Hey, I posted this in the bug section but I'll also post it here, it's an issue with the vanilla game for some reason using the ice fort mesh for the top part of that tower which utilizes the ice textures for forts, which stand out much more for my mod than most. I am going to link a mod that fixes it, but it's for Oldrim which does mean you should Cathedral Asset Optimize the meshes, and then resave the esp in the Creation Kit to convert it to form 44.
Hey, yeah since they are textures they work fine without ENB, though they could appear different than my screenshots. I also just uploaded non-parallax options for all versions of the mod so whichever option you'd prefer should be available now.
