There is an error in the Alias_NearestStore property of the _SAG_AskWay_DetectLocations Quest. It points to an alias index 11, which does not exist. The correct alias index is 19.
Probably something along the lines of using Camilla Valerius' navmesh path for when she walks you from the Riverwood Trader to the Riverwood Bridge for the golden claw then she returns home. Basically a check that sees where you and the guard is, plots the quickest, most direct way by reading the navmesh for available walkways and paths, then Camilla's guided walk script kicks in as the guard leads you there, then the guard return to their duties after they escort you.
For more immersion, can even lock it behind like a 10 septim bribe to convince them to leave their post when you first talk to them. This could also be retroactive applied to pretty much any city NPC looking to make a quick profit as a tour guide lol.
Is there any way to adjust the gold requirements? I'd like to have the guards lead the way for free, and have the beggers ask for money if it's at all possible.
No. Guards (if they were being nice) would just tell you where to go by pointing. Or they'd ask a fee and still just point the way. They won't help you by leading/walking for you. There might be very, very, VERY special circumstances where they might lead, but that would be rare.
But whatever, nobody cares. Guess I may have to dip into making my own version when I get time.
Nice, but I'd like a more realistic version. Like...
1. Some npcs will say they don't know or are too busy. Or just don't care to.
2. Some guards might help (10% chance), some will ask for a fee (20%) and some will just walk off or laugh in your face (70%). Contrary to popular belief, guards of ancient/medieval days did not 'serve' the public or expect to, especially if you're an outsider. If you're not important you'll be lucky to get a guard that's helpful.
3. Beggars will want cash payment before or after they show you, but they WILL want some kind of reward. You might get away with bartering something else, like food.
4. Children may help because it's fun, charge a tiny fee (most likely) You might be able to barter something nice with them instead. There's a chance they'll lead you somewhere completely wrong cos it's even funnier, then run away.
They only glead me the way when i ask then where s inn If i ask they other place, they just saying "of course" but go away i think the problem maybe one of the interstingNPC,inconsequintialNPC or ThePeopleOfSkyrim Did u guys have any thoughts? i think this problem may not so hard to fix and btw i maded a chinese translator version,if supporter allow me upload i will post;)
I have noticed the same issue and I don't have TPOS. Or any of those others actually. What I do have are various city overhaul mods and also RS Children Overhaul. I guess one of those could be the cause.
