Random Compatibility issue if you use Scroll enchanters you can make the unenchanted versions of this weapon in it for free the 2 mods are completely un related so I have no idea why this would happen.
just to let people know if you dont care for Spoilers the blade is located in the chest the you find the first unknown book and the skeleton however take caution cause the mod might be bugged and the sword not showing i was legit searching for 3 HOURS before i decided to reinstall the mod just to be safe and it got fixed so ill say it again you cant find the sword stuck in the chest reinstall the mod and it should fix itself up
Anyone else having troubles with crafting the sword? i have the book, but it doesnt seem to be teaching me how to craft the sword, am i missing something?
This looks SO freaking good!!! I really wish there was a shield / greatshield to come with this mod on the same exact color scheme so it can be a sword for the Queen and a shield for the King in a way or both for the Queen, like "Queen's blade" and "Queen's shield". It could look this beautiful crystal blue color and around the edges to have the black metallic quality of the sword's handle and handguard. That would be so cool to have these and people could play as a Paladin or a Snow-Elf descendant from the Queen that re-discovers her royal armaments. Could even find an armor that looks like a long dress cape battle armor with the same exact color schemes...I could draw these ideas but I am neither a modder or an artist so my imagination will just keep running with so many ideas and inspirations that I will never be able to put on paper...Thank you for this amazing mod, you are awesome. The sword and greatsword are both beautiful.
Wow this is amazing. I gotta track this. I never download a weapon mod without a sheath. It gets realllllly irritating. I didn't think it would bother me and then suddenly one day I was like "That's just horrible." Sooooo sad, because there are so many beautiful swords out there...but no sheath. I mean, all my friends who mod Skyrim have always been like "Never download a weapon without a sheath", especially my brother. lol. But I didn't feel that way for a while, and then I was like, "Oh okay that's a little bit ridiculous. I feel like I'm playing Fallout 3 before equipable holsters came out." Lol. But still, this is just gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for this inspiring work.
PS: Why in the world do modders upload weapons with no sheaths? I figure it's because scabbards are for some reason unusually difficult. They must be more difficult then the sword right? I don't know. I'm asking, because if it's less difficult then a sword...then I'll figure out and how do absolutely nothing but pop out scabbard patches for other people's weapons all day long every single day. Idc how long it would take me, how many mods I'd have to rip off (with authour accredation and permission of course. I say rip off humourously) to make these scabbards. I have honestly never wanted to become a modder more than to fix that issue. lol. Software engineering never became my job, but I did it in college for 6 years. I design my own programs as a hobby and am a receptionist for a computer business so it's not like I can't.... I'm just super lazy. I hate the idea of modding this game. It looks like HELL to mod this game when I look at things in CK. What do you think? Is it a difficult aspect of modding?
I struggled with making a Scabbard for this simply due to the geometry and trying to have it align with the crossguard I also didn't concept a design for the Scabbard so I struggled to find a way to make it work while still retaining the magical design and keeping the theme of the Filigree along its sheath.
When I designed the sword I designed it without a sheath and therefore when modelling it didn't take into account how to simplify said geometry to make it easier to work with since actually making a mesh itself wouldn't have been too hard
Codding itself can be pretty frustrating but actually working within the creation kit isn't quite as hard as it looks depending on what exactly it is you're trying to do
I've gotten a lot better at modelling since I made this sword as this was my first attempt at making a model entirely from scratch both concept-wise and design-wise if I had more time making a sheath wouldn't be hard
It would actually be really interesting to see you try and make a sheath for a lot of weapons - 3D modelling is quite fun once you get the hang of it and there's no feeling quite like seeing your own mod in a Youtube video.
I'm extremely grateful that everyone likes this sword as much as they do I never could've asked for such a fantastic response to it!
So I kinda were following what you were saying. have you considered checking out some reference models to the Atlantean blade that Jodie Sampson developed for the Conan movies? Very similar shape and may give you some ideas.
