It always bugged me, so one day I decided to find the problem, take me a while to find it and a while to fix it. And, in the process, I also found a new better torch texture mod (Ultimate HD Torch by BuzzDee84).
Now I'm so happy, one less thing to break immersion, and a much better looking torch!
