Was wondering if anyone knew what uiextensions is used for in this mod I'm playing in vr without race menu and was curious if the mod would still function in some if not limited capacity without uiextensions, I also have made some cool tweaks to the mod and was seeking the authors permission to post my tweaks on the nexus, I will give complete credit to the author.
This is definitely one of the best death-alternative mods out there~
My only real complaint is that there isn't a setting to disable losing gold on crawling away. Luckily, a quick recompile of a script fixes that. For anyone wanting to do the same as me, just find these lines in ZdoID_PlayerScript.psc and remove them, and you'll no longer lose gold at all. if player.GetGoldAmount() > 50 PutItemToContainer(Game.GetForm(0xf), droppedItemsContainer) endif Seems like it randomly takes anywhere between 50-100% of your gold, which is fine if you can be bothered to regularly deposit it somewhere. But, not I.
omfg... I'm playing in VR and lost TWO lives just from dropping armor out of my inventory... be sure to install this mod too: No Silly Physics Damage - Carts Pots Bones etc (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36132) to prevent Silly Physics Damage.
Great alternate death mod, highly configurable, thanks!
This is definitely the best not-death mod I've found so far, but I have run into a bug a couple times.
I'm using Wildcat, Vigor, and Ultimate Combat, and on a few occasions the Try to Stand Up option puts me in an invincible standing state that I can't move from. My health regens slowly, but I take no damage from enemies. The last time it happened, when I was KO'ed, I was actually ragdolled from a wound from one of those combat mods.
Worse than that though, it temporarily corrupts my saves. I can't load any saves while in the aformentioned state, but if I exit the game they reload just fine.
UPDATE: I decided to run with the permadeath option to check it out. BIG PROBLEM. I use a single save that has my mod settings all configured the way I like, and use Showracemenu to make new characters from there. I got perma-killed with a spinoff character and couldn't reload any of her saves. That's fine, that's sort of the point. HOWEVER, this also apparently applied to my template save I use for new characters. Thankfully, uninstalling this mod fixed it with no long term effects that I can see (yet).
has anyone found a workaround on this yet? i've tried adding lives after the fact, and changing the character name and model in racemenu (using an LaL-addon).
This is the best death mod I've seen so far and will be using it in place of SM Essential! However, I do have some suggestions for you: I don't feel like when the player gets knocked down it should count as an immediate death. To me I feel there should be a buffer or "second chance" before death. Essentially getting knocked down should cause your player to be in a forced knocked down state similar to SM Essential Player and then get back up to start fighting. However upon the second time getting knocked down the player should lose a life. Also I feel instead of just leaving a grave wherever the player died. There should be a dedicated player character graveyard location where all the graves get placed when a player character dies. That way you don't have graves littering the streets of white run or something. That's just my two cents though! Thanks for the wonderful mod!
Hey there, love the mod so far, would it be possible to post an esp version as well? I'm planning to make a wabbajack list with this mod included for skyrimvr but VR doesn't support .esl files. Thanks!
How does this Mod work with Cheat Death Mechanics from EnaiRim? Andromeda's Lover Stone revives the Player once every 15 Minutes, Sacrosanct's Fortitude revives the Player as long as he is sated, Wintersun's Arkay revives the Player for 15% Favor and Summermyst's Death's Shield Enchantment revives the Player but destroys the Item.
