I've been trying my hand at converting some CotR follower mods to use default mouth headparts using this mod's path replacement, generally by the tedious importing/exporting RaceMenu nif method, so that I can convert them to vanilla races rather than CotR races, for compatibility gameplay purposes. I've converted some and they seem to be well. I have even been trying out daxoss' presets, especially females.

But I've come across the problem of male mouths clipping through their faces. A few I've tried sculpting their face headparts to cover up the clipping, but it's much more tedious and isn't what I'd like to do, as I want to preserve the original sculpt. I've thought of moving the mouth headpart instead but RM's tool does'nt seem to be well suited for moving the whole headpart like a xyz translation. Any ideas?

Hello.  I posted this issue on the main page, but I didn't know if maybe I should come here as well.  I'll start by saying I'm on AE.  So when my PC turns into a Vampire Lord, my PC's teeth disappear.  It's only when turning into either a Vampire Lord/Vampire. Would anyone know what's going on and if so, do you have a fix?

I do have Racecompatability.esm installed and 5 months later I still don't have a fix.  Does anyone know what to do?

Have you found a fix for this yet? I always play as a vampire and this is seriously throwing off my groove!!

A really minor bug: COTR teeth are slightly opened on phoneme 12 ('Ooh') because of the lip shape, but vanilla teeth stay closed where the lips are pursed like a kiss. So vanilla teeth in a COTR head mesh makes this unpleasant shape whenever a COTR NPC has a .lip file with the 'ooh' sound:

This mod works well, but I found the teeth to sit a little low in the COtR head. After adjusting that, I still wasn't quite happy because the creator of COtR has favoured a very generous overbite. This means the default teeth are too far back from the top lip.So, with this mod having shown me the way to point to alternative files, I went in search of better fitting teeth. All I could find were the 3D teeth from Realistic Teeth (LE). I was intrigued to move to 3D teeth, so created a sub-directory under meshes\...\mouth and copied the new nif and two tri files there. Now pointing the COtR mouth headpart to these files and rebuilding from my racemenu presets gives what I consider an improvement. Do not install the Realistic Teeth mod, just copy the nif and tri and texture files. The texture files use names different to default, so they can be copied straight into the textures\...\mouth directory. I used Cathedral Optimiser on the nif file and the recommended steps in Nifscope. Nif and Tri's must always be a matching set, and the tri is not designed to match the COtR head exactly. Some small mismatch can be seen when my version of Mjoll is giving her always enthusiastic responses, but it is generally good. In the unlikely event that anybody else tries this, they could let me know what they think. Note that the 3D tri files do not include Racemenu sliders, so the expression sliders don't move the teeth. It doesn't seem to matter in-game though.

Ah, thank you very much. I'm trying to edit CotR followers and presets for personal use. Was trying to remake them into vanilla races with custom COR heads and included COR .tri files [essentially making them standalones], but the realisation that they had custom mouths were a surprise (and stumbling block) until this simple mod answers my worries. Though I'll have to remake COR followers heads again in RaceMenu to get default mouths in their facegeom meshes.

The teeth will not work properly, but someone told me that the teeth never worked. I dunno.

Using MFG commands in console will work though.

If I try to give my character vampire teeth in racemu with this mod installed, they don't morph. Is that intended?

I have no modding experience, but does anyone know how to make a mod to give orcs regular teeth? Wanting to make an orc character and I'm not a huge fan of the tusk options for male orcs...

This works for me, both for racemenu expressions and facial animations (mfg stuff) for screenshots.

I tested both vanilla CotR teeth, and then applied this patch. As far as I can tell, the upper teeth aren't supposed to move with expressions anyway. The bottom teeth move as they should (though if you max out the slider, the mesh will clip with the chin). I used the recommended teeth mod with this, and then also installed Fangs and Eyes. It all works perfectly together.

    +1, awesome job
