Fixed in Ver. 0.2 - Before any reports that the Cabbage has a 0 duration, yes i know about that and i forgot to fix it before uploading it.
Drinks and Cheeses added in 0.3
Also: - I know this isn't all the food, as i gradually update this I will add in more things also please let me know what you think about the mod or what I forgot as I know there has to be something I haven't added yet, i respect any and all feedback even if is a simple "Thank you".
If anyone wants to make compatibility patches for other mods, contact me via steam (username: Amethyst O'skeltur) if you do and I will gladly upload them for you and credit you appropriately.
It should work right out-of-the box, as iNeed doesn't edit any of the vanilla food items (it adds a few new consumables which are the waterskins and potions to cure diseases).
Hi i just wanted to say thank you for this. I wanted a mod that has give more than 1 or 2 HP, but not as much as a potion would. There are plenty of other mods out there but the majority of them miss that second part. I still want potions to be useful and you my friend made that happen. Thank you for finding the right amount of balance to an already awesome game. I can't wait to try it out, cheers!
Thanks for the mod, ARandomElf. I love the idea and implementation as it makes food worth having for more than just satisfying iNeeds. I do have a question, though.
Is there a way or do you (or anyone) know of a mod that reduces the amount of food scattered around Skyrim? I don't mean making food super scarce, but as it is there is so much food around Skyrim it's just silly. Every barrel or sack has tons of food in it, gardens abound and are always ready for harvest... heck even when pickpocketing most of the NPS have tons of food on them.
I know this is not something your mod addresses, but given you are in the food mod making business I just thought you might have an idea or solution. I still want alchemy to be something useful, but if I add your mod with all the food I have now there will be no reason to harvest or to use alchemy for stuff like healing potions.
Unfortunately that is something I don't plan on implementing, I'm fairly certain there's a mod out there that can fix that though, I think even a regular Skyrim version of the mod would in theory "work" as long as that's the only thing it changes.
Can you make a separate edition: a Hardcore Players Edition?
And I don't mean nerf the stats I mean a Hardcore Edition with greater buffs and more "filling" meals. I am playing on Legendary with increased NPC spawns and combat AI mods.
You might be interested in taking a look at Nordic Cooking which was created with 'hardcore' game settings in mind. It can be loaded alongside of this one.
I tried to keep it as balanced as possible, I mean I may eventually make one with improved buffs/debuffs but for now progress on this mod is at a standstill as I'm strapped for time with other projects going on, I do however promise there is a big update on the way.
Have you considered adding functions to allow werewolves and wood elves as well as players that wear namira's ring to eat raw meats for positive effect?
Edit: i just looked at that mod and no, it is not compatible as this mod changes the effects of the same items. But i THINK if you put that mod to load after this one it will take the effects from that mod if you'd rather do that

(one suggestion tho, increasing food prices would balance this out even better)

- I am actually working on the meals right now so there won't be so many non-beneficial food items
