Newest test update My previous 3.0 update still wasn't working for people so there is a new test file in the Optional files. Try "DLL Plugin test" file (it replaces only the SKSE plugin, you still need the main file) and see if it loads in your game version. I'm still on 1.5.97 and cannot test it myself.
Update 3.0.0 So I'm kinda lost on all the Bethesda updates for this game. I had some experimental plugin version in optional files that was supposed to be compatible with AE, but there seemed to be a lot of feedback that the plugin does not work on newest Skyrim version again. Therefore I tried to take advantage of newest developments for CommonLibSSE and update plugin again, so that only one plugin is needed for any game version.
The only question is if I did it correctly. I'm honestly not sure, I can only compile this plugin with tutorials and some trial & error :D I can confirm it loads and takes screenshots in 1.5.97 version. I hope it works for others as well. If not, then unfortunately I'm out of ideas (for now).
Is there anyone else here that's been having a issue with the steam overlay option. Where it only takes 2 screenshots per killmove and no more. Ive tried every possible combination for the interval, from 0.15, up to 1.00 and same thing, only two are taken. I'm running 1.5.97 still have all this mods requirements and come to think of it, the other modes also take only 2 screenshots. Yet just a couple weeks ago, i had it running perfect and it was taking a ton of screenshots, per killmove, like fifteen or more, then all of a sudden it only takes two and nothing fixes that. Ive tried both versions of this mod and get the same results.
Hi comfortzone, you definitely went out of your comfortzone making this mod ;) (but hey, you're lucky, because you can simply rest anywhere xD) Anyway, I don't really know if this will work on my installation, but I can only try to find out right? I may update this post with the results :)
I have returned! After a quick test (through the MCM test option) ingame, the ENB option didn't seem to work (but maybe that's just a wrongly assigned keybind on my end), but both other options did the trick (which means I'll gladly be using the steam overlay option). Now I only have to wait for a kill move and see the results. Just a quick mention: I'm on version 1.6.353 myself, and therefore I can't really make any claims as to later versions.
For anyone wanting to use this mod, the mod author has tried their best to update it but right now I can't get the steam mode to work, but the SKSE printscreen mode works pretty well (it does cause stuttering as mentioned in the description but nothing too awful). However, this mode saves screenshots directly to your game folder, which is an issue with Skyrim itself, not the mod.
But you can change this! Go to \Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition and find the Skyrim.ini file. Open it up and scroll down to [Display]. At the bottom of the display options, add: SScreenShotBaseName= and then whatever location you want.
Mine is "SScreenShotBaseName=D:\Documents\Skyrim Screenshots\Screenshot" which means that it saves in the Documents folder on my D drive, in a folder called Skyrim Screenshots, and names the files Screenshot. Without \screenshot, or whatever you want the game to name the files, you'd just get them saving in your Documents folder as Skyrim Screenshots1.png
Would it be possible to make this work with ReShade? I tried changing game default screenshot key away from PrntScrn, changing ReShade screenshot key to PrntScrn, and using this in printscreen mode, but i get zero screenshots.
Also tried using it in enb mode, with a ReShade configured key, but i also get no screenshots. Halp?
Hi. I love this plugin and it was quite needed by me since I've always liked to take killcam screenshots.
Anyway, how feasible do you think it would be add a "random time range" for both start delay and time interval?
I've got MANY screenshots, but most of them are basically the same poses over and over in different angles. Adding some kind of randomization would make screenshots way more interesting because this plugin would capture slightly different poses.
Same here, installed the main file and worked with just SKSE but I want it in steam overlay so I can upload the pictures. When I install the v3.0 and try to start the game I get a warning that the DLL failed to load correctly and that the plugin needs to be updated.
Just wanted to once again thank you so much comfortzone for this amazing mod. I am thrilled to bits to see the piccys every time I finish the game for the day - it makes killing so much more satisfying & my gameplay complete. As you can see I am still hard at work killing everything that moves
Hey, thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the mod. Yeah, I realize that soon after I managed to port my mod to Address Library, a completely new update messed up .dll plugins again I would have to take a look if I can figure out what changes are required to fix compatibility. I haven't even updated my game from 1.5.97 yet, I simply have too little time. I will try to figure it out when I have a free moment, but I'm not sure when that will be.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that I made some attempts and, theoretically, 3.0.0 update should fix this. Details are in the changelog. If it turns out that I was unsuccessful, I will have to do some more reading in free time and try something else.
Print Screen mode: images are saved to the game's install directory (filename ScreenShot<index>.png);
ENB hotkey mode: images are saved to the game's install directory (filename enb<date><time>.bmp);
Steam overlay mode: you can access screenshots in Steam's gallery and whatever folder you set up for screenshots in Steam settings.
If you cannot find any screenshots, then the script is probably not working. Unfortunately, it looks like .dll plugin is not compatible with latest updates to the game, so that might be an issue. Print Screen mode should still work though, it does not use .dll plugin.
Thank you! The GeForce screenshot function can also be called using ENB mode. This is both smooth as in steam mode and quality as in ENB mode, as well it is not time limited as in ENB mode. (But it needs to edit the mcm script to lower the limit of ENB mode. BTW Can we have a setting loader?
Hey, thanks for the info - good idea with GeForce screenshots. I will try to address the issue with interval limit for this use case in next update, whenever that may be. Setting loader is also a good idea, however it will definitely take some time to correctly implement it. I will keep those features in mind but can't promise a speedy update for now Thank you for great input!
