I have ported this mod because I am used to making quick saves every time, this saves me that annoyance, I would like to know if anyone could help to make a mcm menu for this mod.? , sorry for my english i speak spanish.
When you set this up to work with MCM I'll consider giving it a try, because I have ALWAYS screwed up my game whenever I have tried using TES5Edit for any reason, so mods that require it to set them up is simply ignored by me.
I can't find any save fixer that works with VR, probably because none of them are actually made by users with VR. Key elements of them are weirdly incompatible and tend to make the very problems they're made to solve even worse.
The works works perfectly fine for me on AE version 1.6.640
Edit: maybe not so much... I don't like the way the mod functions and it's seemingly bloating SKSE save data into my doc/skyrim/saves. Even with mod system disabled, though im confident iI can do damage control on this.
In other words. I personally recommend not using this mod(it was last updated 2020!)pick your poison on one of the other mods skyrim save system overhaul 2
I'd like to counter the last comment by noting that the "safe saving" scripts in Skyrim Save System Overhaul 2 don't work right, and it has a tendency to save at all the sorts of really bad times it is allegedly programmed not to.
This is very nice but absolutely needs an MCM Menu for configuraton. A little bit too much saving and yes i saw that editing in xedit is possible but thats far from convinient.
Used it for some time now it works great my only issue is autosaves always make the game stutter when the save happens, I want to chose when it auto saves and when it should quick safe instead, can we have a setting file and this opions?
same for me, except my game stutters for a bit longer than i'd like to tolerate. i really like this mod if it wasnt for that, it happens with just about every little thing too. if the game stutters werent so large/ long i'd definitely keep this mod. i really enjoy it otherwise, if this can be fixed or at least lessened to not be as bad i'd definitely reinstall, until then i'm going back to using simple autosave manager.
As much as how useful this mod is my major issue is the stutter as well and especially the way it somehow Auto saves sometimes it will auto save at a really terrible time and causes my game to crash. For example it literally autosaved like a split second right before I fast traveled even though nothing interesting or anything I completed happened and caused my game to crash. And sometimes certain Auto saves I load into crash the game as well. The one I do a manual save I haven't had any issues with it so there has to be some type of issue with the way it autosaves. I'm not sure if maybe the default Auto saves only save when there's less scripting events happening while this mod might be ignoring the high scripting events and still auto save during that moment. One of the major concerns I managed to fix it was when it auto saves before a fight and it sometimes delays and it would auto save right when I'm attacking or the enemy is attacking while I have other enemies starting to run at me and that right there is already a heavy scripting event. It's especially useful to have this autosave but I might want to change back to the default one and see if I have any issues.
How to config this mod? It comes without MCM and saves before and after every combat...dont know how that works with vigin skyrim, but mine is heavy modded, creating a save takes up to 10 minutes, so i am in a cave, stand there 5+ minutes because a wolf shows up, kill it with one hit and stand again 5+ minutes...thats unplayable.
I love the approach you took on auto save ! Would you know if it's compatible with this mod : Hardcore Saving Overhaul https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19914
I really see those two mods working well together on a gameplay level :)
