I love this to death! My only thought is that there should be an option for it to appear later. In my preferred Skyrim world, it would be written on a piece of paper in Skyhaven Temple instead of in Esbern's room in Riften. The dragons haven't been around so it doesn't make sense that he would know how to craft this potion unless he had been around dragons for a little bit, which makes most sense if you had finally dragged him from his hole. It also makes sense that you would get a chance to let him make the potion for you before you end up making the potion on your own. However, I absolutely am in love with making dragon scales and dragon bones into potion ingredients! <3
This is such a great idea! It stands to reason that the Dovahkiin, who has killed scores of dragons and learned to fashion weapons and armor from their remains, would be able to make a relatively simple potion! That raises an interesting question: Is it possible to add the "Dragon Smithing" perk as a requirement for crafting this potion? They're different skill trees, but it makes sense to me.
