Have you considered doing this for Pandorable's women as well? It's wonderful work you're doing, making them more lore-friendly, and I'm just curious if you have any future plans for other overhauls.
I am asked this all the time. I've left it open in the past, but I can now say I have no intention of seeking permission to do this for Pandorable's mods. Currently, I'm working on making my own games as well as working on other people's games and I don't have time for modding Skyrim, let alone playing it anymore. Sorry.
I don't own it, so I can't test it. That said, these mods might work with the Oldrim version even though it's made for SE / VR. Someone just has to try it and let us know. The directory structure is the same and I think I saved these in a compatible compression format.
Hopefully I'm not too late for this but I tested all three of vampiredirt's Bijin Makeup Removers in Oldrim and I'm happy say that it worked perfectly!
Thank you so much vampiredirt for the wonderful mod! It definitely is a massive improvement.
I like your 3 makeup remover mods. They worked perfectly with the three separate Bijin mods. However, there is now a Bijin all-in-one which is the one that will contain any fixes, updates etc, and your 3 expect 3 separate plugins. Could there be a version of yours to match the AIO?
I honestly don't think an AIO is necessary. The only thing my mod updates are texture files, so it doesn't take up a mod slot, which is typically why one would want an AIO. Also, if I understand the way the new AIO works, it doesn't change the path or names of the original tintmaks, so these mods should still work.
Although, if anybody is reading this and comes across a problem with [my mod and] the AIO, let me know.
The instructions on the Bijin AIO are to leave the files but to disable the 3 plugins. Your mods expect to find those plugins. One could still use the old mods. Problems are likely to arise if changes are made to the Bijins. Also it is not clear what changes have already been made. Perhaps they should tell you as you are likely to be helping increase the use of their mods. Later: I regularly look for updates. At some point the problem disappeared, so one of them must have affected it, obviously not yours. Like others, I look forward to your cleaning up more faces.
The makeup remover mods do not have plugin dependencies in the installer. In other words, it doesn't check to see if a Bijin mod is installed. They just copy tintmask texture files. The fomod I wrote is a "dumb" installer.
As for any changes to Bijin... here's something to consider. The original Bijin mods came out back in 2015 and the first AIO in 2016. There have been updates, but nothing so drastic that the file path and file names of the tintmask textures would change. I can't forsee either rxkx22 or Mebantiza thinking that would be a good idea. I could be wrong and if so... I'll tackle any problem as they arise.
I'm honestly not worried and I don't think you should be either. The Bijin mods are FAMOUS. I think each one exceeds 3 million downloads and that doesn't even count the ones shared off this site. I have no doubt I will be informed swiftly of any incompatibilities.
I hope that puts your mind at ease. Thanks again for using the mods. And of course, if you do come across an issue, do let me know.
I've ran EasyNPC to mix and merge my Bijin and other NPC overhauls into a single mod, then I disabled the Bijin ESPs while leaving the mods enabled. Should your makeup remover still work for that?
Sorry for the delay, I couldn't respond until I had a chance to look at EasyNPC. I *think* I understand what the mod is doing. My mod is really just a bunch of loose textures and they always override a BSA, so it should work assuming EasyNPC retains Bijin's original texture path.
I think that might be possible, but I'm not inclined to figure it out. This is a makeup REMOVER mod and not a makeup keeper mod. I hope you understand. Maybe someone else can make a mod that does that...
I really like how you made this mod, maybe you could do a make up switch mod or something. Either way I thought it was worth an ask and I'm happy with this mod being here, so thanks.
You should be able to just open Mjoll in the Creation kit where you have Bijin Warmaidens as active plugin and change her warpaint to not have any and export new FaceTint. Also have some HQ tintmaks installed because otherwise her makeup will be vanilla tintmasks.
There you go Belorah! I strongly encourage you to download Creation Kit and follow her instructions and give it a shot.
I actually wouldn't mind making another mod that does this - it sounds easy. But I'm working on an adventure game, another novel, a short film and a photo exhibition. I don't have much time right now.
Really?! That would be awesome. I modified the tintmask and assumed that was the only source of rxkx22's warpaint and makeup. I had no idea they existed separately somewhere else in the mod.
You have to edit tintmasks to be empty and then export Facetints. I actually got the idea for my newest mod from this one No Makeup FaceTints for Vanilla NPCs. I have uploaded empty tintmasks on that mod so people can export FaceTint without makeup
Though I'll have to double-check if it will work for Bijin.
Edit: Yep, that works. I can send it to you so you can have it here on the page I only made the ones who has Warpaint https://www.sendspace.com/file/fdfnzd

Any chance of it being made available for Oldrim?

Looking forward to trying your new mod on a fresh install. Those vanilla faces actually look great now that the dirt and grime is gone.
You don't need a fresh install to try it, just so you know.. They're just textures, you can exchange them mid-game
Although, I actually don't have a choice but to do a fresh install. After 3 years of reckless modding, my saves are corrupt beyond repair.
