    I'm just a newby, so my question may be found... funny. But I am curious, wouldn't adding the lines below to the CreationKit.INI achieve the same results?

    [General]
    bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1
    bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
    [Archive]
    Dawnguard.bsa, Hearthfires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa

      Hi! I know you wrote this in january, but I've been offline for a long time. The lines you propose was what I used originally for the skyrim fix before special edition was released. In special edition they merged the bsa-archives of the add-ons, so those lines didn't have any significant function anymore.

    I just installed the creation kit with the idea of better converting a few Oldrim mods by resaving them in SSE format and INSTANTLY run into the need for this fix. Thanks.

      Hi!
      Your request made me take a closer look into my main skyrim folder, and I made som unexpected discoveries. Look for CreationKit.ini in your main Skyrim SE folder instead of SkyrimEditor.ini

      I do not know if the file was renamed to CreationKit.ini due to an uppdate from bethesda or an accident from me, I will do some research on it when I've got time to spare.

      If you don't have any of the CreationKit.ini or SkyrimEditor.ini files, check that you have it installed properly and that you are able to open the skyrim.esm within the Creation Kit. If you are not, the CK has probably been installed wrong and I suggest you reinstall the Creation Kit. If the CK works properly I don't have any clue what your situation is, but try to copy my file into your folder and check if the CK works as it should with my file (check if it now can edit with DLC resources).

      If this causes problems, just delete my file and make sure that your main game folder looks like it did before you downloaded my file.

    Hello I will be blunt, I wish to try my hands on creating my own stuff, but right off the bat I think I hit a wall. While following your installation guide, I didn't see the "SkyrimEditor.ini" I am not sure if I'm missing it or what, I even tried to do a start menu find search for those keywords and nothing. Is there any advice you can provide me with?

      The only explanation that comes to mind is that you might not have installed the creation kit.
      https://bethesda.net/en/dashboard, download the bethesda.net-launcher from their official website (the link), and follow any instructions they give you regarding installation or user creation, and you should be able to download the creation kit through their launcher.
      Hope you get it working.

      Also note that you are searching in the main game folder, not the data folder.

      Sorry for late response, I did download creation kit from bethesda main DL dashboard. (hated the process) now time to learn it... ::another long process.::

      Just to double check something, the creation kit will get downloaded outside the data folder correct? just needs to be in the Skyrim SE folder correct?

    Going to repost this from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2786/?

    The [Archive] section of your tweak is a direct copy of the fix for original Skyrim, line for line. Almost all of the BSA's listed aren't even in Skyrim SE.

    CreationKit.ini is already set up correctly for that section from the start.The only change that you should make is bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 and that should be placed in CreationKitCustom.ini

    Here's a pastebin link for those who have changed [Archive] in CreationKit.ini and need to change it back. http://pastebin.com/7WQj2yCJ

      Yeah I know. People need to see the correct way to tweak creation kit. I recommend you upload an unaltered SkyrimEditor.ini in case people didn't back up before they made your changes.

      Edit: There isn't a SkyrimEditor.ini normally, so I guess you can forget about uploading a vanilla version. You do probably want to edit the mod description page though.

    May I recommend to add:

    [Audio]
    bEnableAudio=0

    As well. It drastically reduced the amount of times the CK crashed on me.
