I've reach Verulus in the Hall of the Dead, warned him, he told me to "take this" and then nothing happened! I have EBQO installed, it's above Namira for Good Guys (LOOT sorted) and I've installed the patch for Namira for Good Guys in the EBQO installer. Any help?

When he said "Here, take this", he is giving you a note. Check you note inventory and read it. That's how you progress.

Downloaded and added to my large load order; when I finally got to the quest, the dialogue options did not show up for me. Came here to see if anyone else was having the problem, noticed people with Even Better Quest Objectives had to put this mod below it. It already was. Decided to try Namira For Good Guys above EBQO and it worked, got the dialogue prompts and the quest worked like a charm! I really enjoyed it and I'm glad it worked without a hitch after I fixed it.

Side Note: If you are using Solitude and Temple Frescoes 2019, it adds a religious art work painting to the hall of the dead in Markarth and the scarecrow appears behind it. Just disable and enable it when you're leading the Fake to Namira's Coven

Is it safe to download this, do the quest, then uninstall afterwards? Asking because of mod limit, would also like to know if the same applies to Boethiah. Thanks

Wouldn't recommend doing that, it changes scripts so will probably break your game sooner or later if you remove it. Plus you'd lose everything else the mod adds too which the save will keep looking for. If you do want to risk it, you should at least clean with a save cleaner to prevent some of the damage.

You should also look into changing esps into espfe if you're worrying about mod limit - though not installed mods mid play-through.

All I get after warning the priest is "Here, take this" and nothing else. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have Even Better Quest objectives (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/159) installed? If you do, make sure this mod goes below EBQO. That's all I could think of.

Sorry to necro this after ten months. Hopefully, your problem had been long solved.

Hey! I've had the same problem as ridethemaverick and, yes, I have EBQO installed, which is above Namira for Good Guys. Also, EBQO have a patch for Namira for Good Guys, but I keep having the exact same problem reported here. Can you help me?

Hey dude, name your file properly. It is called "Namira for Good Guys", not "Main File-336-1-1"

I just wanted to throw my hat in the ring and say thank you so much for this mod.

I'm playing with Legacy of the Dragonborn v5 and knew I wanted to try and finally get the achievement to collect all of the Daedric artifacts. However, I've been avoiding this quest ever since I first accidentally stumbled into it in my first ever playthrough of Skyrim back on the 360 in 2011.

As I finally went to Markarth in my playthrough and obtained this quest, I was pleasantly surprised in how it worked.

For those who have issues with this mod working, here's how it worked for me step by step:

    1. When returning to Brother Valerius in order to "encourage him" to follow you, if you scroll down after your initial request to have a Preist of Arkay by your side, you will get an option to warn him of the trap. You will only get this option along with the Persuade/Intimidate/Bribe/Nevermind options that appear after initially asking him to come, and the option will be at the very bottom at the list and you will have to scroll to see it.

    2. He will give you a note and a new spell (which is automatically added to your spells menu, not as a book). He will ask you to collect 3 pieces of Venision to put into a scarecrow, and a new quest will be added to your journal. Once you have the venision, you add it to a scarecrow that is standing up behind the Shrine of Arkay. Once your three pieces of venison are added, go into your spell menu and equip the spell (it mentions the scarecrow so if you're using SkyUI you can search "scarecrow" to find it if you're having trouble.) and then aim it at the scarecrow. It's a novice level spell and you should be able to use it without putting any attribute points into Magicka.

    3. Once the Scarecrow has been turned into a copy of Valerius, you can then tell him to follow you (you will have to intimidate them). You then lead them to the cave as normal, and as normal go through the steps of killing the fake!Valerius and "eating" the "corpse". You will then receive the ring as normal. For me, after all that, I murdered all of Namira's cultists once I had the ring in my inventory.

    4. You can then return to Valerius and he will ask for the ring. You can either give it to him in exchange for a spell, or tell him that you plan on keeping the ring and to not ask you again. That will complete the new quest added by this mod.

Overall, this mod was perfect. The change in voice actor was a little off-putting for the lines added by this mod, but I understand why it was done and support it. Thank you, Iceburg, for this mod!!

Is there a version where you can still get the ring after killing all the cannibals (without just killing them while they are allies to you)? I don't think you are so much the good guy for letting the cannibals keep on eating people. Maybe after getting the ring, you get an option to reveal the deception and proceed to kill them all.
If not, I will stick to killing them all and then use console to get the item.

Been a long time since i did this quest but why giving the ring to the priest? Can't we keep it? Or is it somewhat part of the og quest?

I'm using this, and I didn't get any kind of spell tome to use on the scarecrow. Is Verulus supposed to give it to me? because he only gives the note no matter how many times I talk to him.
