About this mod

Orc armor/weapon meshes with obsidian cube maps. LeanWolf's better shaped weapon meshes. Use with any textures

I recommend you install Cathedral Armory, then install amidianborn book of silence armor AND weapons, overwriting cathedral armory with it. There's one texture from Cathedral Armory that you don't want to overwrite, but I've included it in the archive so you can just overwrite both mods with this. That will give you the diffuse, normal, and reflection maps from amidianborn, but preserve one reflection map from cathedral armory. This mod just adds meshes and a cubemap.

The meshes in Cathedral Armory are nice but 1) if you use amidianborn's textures they end up looking like they're made out of iron, not orichalcum, and 2) idk if it's a mistake or what, but a lot of the meshes don't actually have environment mapping enabled. They have the right texture paths but they're not flagged correctly to actually display the cube maps. I fixed that but I also changed the cube maps to work better with amidianborn's textures, which aren't very green. I also made the environment maps on the armor duller but the weapons shinier. For some reason the armor was set to 1.0 env map scale, but the weapons were set to 0.2, making them much duller than the armor.

The orcs may seem primitive but they are actually expert craftsmen, so I think they know how to polish metal. So I went with 0.75 for both, it should look duller than elven or steel armor but shinier than iron in my opinion. And since I'm using the gray amidianborn textures I decided to use the cubemap to give it that green rainbowy iridescence that orichalcum should have. In other words the material itself isn't green, it's just the cubemap that's green. Which I guess is more similar to how chromatic refraction would work in the real world anyway. So that means you can use any textures you want, but the nicest looking ones I've found are amidianborn's. (if you know of another one feel free to let me know) The mod is hosted on the oldrim nexus but the textures are compatible with SSE. Regarding that mod, I think only the blades armor is incompatible and there is a fix for that.

Everything's been checked with nifscan and is free of any errors. Armor meshes are based on the originals. There are a few mesh replacements in the USSEP, I used those as a starting point where possible. Weapon meshes are based on LeanWolf's thinner weapon meshes. The warhammer is based on the USSEP mesh. If you want your ore and ingots to look similar, I suggest you try CC's enhanced ore veins. The ingots won't be quite as iridescent as my armor meshes though. I might do an ore/ingot mod later on if someone wants that.
