I wish we had a mod that completely removes the display glass.
Even with this great mod, I still have trouble with glare and can't really enjoy my museum items.
I have to remove my lantern and any other lights .. and then the room is dark. Sigh. So much work, just to not be able to see what I've collected because of the glare.
Again, thank you for this mod with is a huge improvement.
This file is a Normalmap in the .dds texture format. All mods that are .dds work on either SE or LE, because the format didn't change between versions - however, if the format is .bc(a number), then it won't work for LE, because it doesn't support the compression.
I don't have the original skyrim so I can't mod it. All this mod does is replaces one file, named "glass_n.dds". It's just an image that the glass model uses. I'm assuming the og game's lotdb mod uses the same filename except it's converted for the original game. If you can find a way to convert this mod's file type into the one that the old skyrim uses, then you should just be able to install it like a normal mod and it should work.
A bit late in my reply but just stumbled across this lil mod and I thank you very much for this cleaner look! On a side note, since this doesn't use a mesh but rather just a texture file, anyone wanting to use it for LE wouldn't run into any issues from the get-go as they don't have to fuss with converting anything - gotta love plug and play mods lol

So no worries, this mod also works on LE.
