1. Please note that this WILL NOT, nor will it EVER BE, available for console. BAT files don't work on consoles, and I don't yet know how to add my changes into an ESP file. Go ask the guys over at the Unofficial Patch Project about it.
2. Please note that I will NOT be making any new mods until Christmas. I'm a very busy woman right now and making mods isn't my highest priority when I have exams breathing down my neck and several mods that I need to port in the first place. Thank you for understanding and thank you for your patience.
It kills the looping combat music, a bug that is caused when a script goes wayward. The BAT file, when activated, kills this script, making the combat music stop.
2. Will this remove combat music from my game entirely?
Nope!
3. Will this ever be available for consoles?
No, sorry. BAT files don't work on consoles, and this mod is BAT-only.
4. Is this compatible with...?
It's compatible with literally everything.
5. How do I install this?
Instructions are in the description.
6. There are two files included. Which one do I use?
Check the description. Everything you need to know is right there.
7. Will you make a mod that-
I'm going to stop you right there. NO! I will not be making any "new" mods until Christmas. I will only be porting my old mods until then. I'm a very busy woman and as of right now, making mods isn't high on my list of priorities.

9. It's not working!!
You have to be more specific.
10. I'm still getting the looping music bug!
You have to activate the file WHILE stuck in the loop. It doesn't remove the bug entirely, just serves as a workaround.
11. It's not killing the loop!
+ Make sure you're activating the correct file. For regular combat, use "bat stopcombat." For the bug that arises after taking a city during the civil war, use "bat stopcivilwar."
+ The loop isn't killed immediately. You need to wait a few seconds.
12. I activated it during the loop and it still won't stop!
Again, make sure you're activating the right one and make sure you're being patient!
I can confirm right now, this is the only "combat music fix" mod that WORKED! Thanks for saving my ears. Dropped the files in Data folder, loaded the game, used console command "bat stopcivilwar" and bingo, that did it. Finally, the soothing tracks and ambiance is back. I think I've played with the looping combat music bug for 6 hours...
Огромное спасибо человечище Переименовал в короткие smcv и smcombat. Сработал первый вариант. У меня персонаж 49го уровня, уж незнаю в каком квесте эта беда случилась, но играть было невозможно
hello can i ask you a question relating to looping music?
my looping music is not a combat nor is it related to the civil war its an exploration music and i don't know which one it is. is there any way to tell which music is playing at the moment so i can use a command to kill it, thank you
Hi idk if you still have this issue but to try and figure out what the music is called use <help mus> command. There's a very helpful video about this here.

I tried typing manually, with your mod, with other mods, obviously I waited enough minutes, and with no enemies around...
