I've been experiencing crashing/freezing near the Embershard Mine exit near Riverwood and sometimes when starting up new games. Looking at the crash log files shows the required Papyrus Function files being called. Rolling back to 1.4 did not fix this, but disabling the mod fixes this.

Hi. In the latest version I can't translate "Alert Method", "Notification" in the mcm menu as there is no such line for translation in the script "NPCDeathAlertMCM.pex".
There's one problem with this mod: That is the scripts that get executed when a unique NPC dies. Like when someone's mourning their relative's death. That will not revert when you resurrect an npc. Unless you made scripts that retroactively reverts these executed scripts, which would be a tremendous amount of work. Cool project, but this is not enough to make the game not break eventually.
Y E S !!! that's genius I wanted this forever, but give us an immersive Ressurection option like doing a ritual and have to sacrifice daedric hearts or something :D
Edit: Okay so I tested the mod and I got 2 big suggestions, the first one if you offer to only show notification of an npc dying then you should not force a message box into the players face asking him if he wants to resurrect the recently killed NPC since he obviously dislikes that otherwise he wouldn't try to avoid that from happening.
Now to my second suggestion which also fixes the first issue I mentioned, instead of asking directly after an NPC dies make a list inside the MCM with all dead NPCs make each name clickable and on click on that name the NPC gets ressurected.
ALTERNATIVE IDEA If you rly want this to be a #1 tier mod then instead of MCM resurrect NPCs let us go to the soul cairn area and perform some sort of ritual or make a new room or dungeon or house or anything rly where we can perform a ritual on some sort of bowl or something.
those are my suggestions, I think the idea of your mod is awesome and I think if you are willing to spend some time on it it can be an awesome mod currently I would only use it for the notification option itself
Sounds really immersive. Maybe add a requirement for a resurrect potion, dragon souls or some intense magic spell, that drains all of the players stats or uses some other NPC to sacrifice; Until theres a threshold reached, made from the sum of health, magicka and stamina or a calculation of skills/soul level. Theres already a mod that allows dead NPCs to gather in Sovngard and Soul Cairn, but not for them to be resurrected. The dragonborn could surely create a new shout that brings the dead to life. After shouting he needs to kill some guardian of the specific realm, making it harder to ressurect.
This mod was working great yesterday but now it doesn't seem to function on my main save. It, oddly, does work on a different character (not a new one) though.
Is there any advice you could give me?
Things I've tried: reinstalling SKSE, reinstalling this mod, reinstalling SkyUI, enabling/disabling this mod in mcm, changing the notification method, toggling unique only, changing the minimum relationship level in mcm, changing my load order, fast travelling, waiting, etc. I tried killing them different ways (such as using console command kill or player.placeatme some bandits which kill them). Nothing seems to work :(
Edit: I "disabled" the mod in MCM. Then I saved and exited the game. Deactivated the mod. Saved and exited. Reactivated the mod. Loaded back in and it worked.
I'm sure it will break again at some point though..
Edit 2: It broke basically right away.
Edit 3: Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Worked on some people in Whiterun, but nobody in Dragonsreach. and not on modded characters. Not really sure what's going on
Edit 4: I managed to fix it after a lot of poking around. I went into SSEEdit with this mod, went to the "Spell" drop down, went to "020012CB NPCDeathAlertAddSpellSpell", scrolled all the way down, went to "Effects -> Effect #0 -> Conditions" Then I removed Condition #4 "Subject.HasSpell(NPCDeathAlertSpell "NPCDeathAlertSpell" [SPEL:020012C5]) = 0.0000 AND". Use this fix at your own risk, I don't know what I'm doing.
Now the alert seems to pop up consistently for everyone, including modded npcs.
You meant spell ID 020012C8 (the second one). The third one has no conditions to remove. 020012CB and 020012C8 look almost the same though in xEdit's font, so I understand :P

I can guarantee you it is Skybirds (those APB scripts) that is giving you dump stacks. That's a great mod but unfortunately causes Dump Stacks even when you set it to like 5 birds spawning.
For some reason I'm not getting the resurrect box when someone dies even though that option is enabled. it looks like it may be a problem with uiextensions.
it only seems to be working half the time? I didn't get a notification when Thadgeir died to a dragon while im getting spammed with "thief killed by wolf" messages every time I go into riverwood.

Okay so I tested the mod and I got 2 big suggestions, the first one if you offer to only show notification of an npc dying then you should not force a message box into the players face asking him if he wants to resurrect the recently killed NPC since he obviously dislikes that otherwise he wouldn't try to avoid that from happening.
Now to my second suggestion which also fixes the first issue I mentioned, instead of asking directly after an NPC dies make a list inside the MCM with all dead NPCs make each name clickable and on click on that name the NPC gets ressurected.
ALTERNATIVE IDEA
If you rly want this to be a #1 tier mod then instead of MCM resurrect NPCs let us go to the soul cairn area and perform some sort of ritual or make a new room or dungeon or house or anything rly where we can perform a ritual on some sort of bowl or something.
those are my suggestions, I think the idea of your mod is awesome and I think if you are willing to spend some time on it it can be an awesome mod currently I would only use it for the notification option itself
Theres already a mod that allows dead NPCs to gather in Sovngard and Soul Cairn, but not for them to be resurrected. The dragonborn could surely create a new shout that brings the dead to life. After shouting he needs to kill some guardian of the specific realm, making it harder to ressurect.
Is there any advice you could give me?
Things I've tried:
reinstalling SKSE, reinstalling this mod, reinstalling SkyUI, enabling/disabling this mod in mcm, changing the notification method, toggling unique only, changing the minimum relationship level in mcm, changing my load order, fast travelling, waiting, etc. I tried killing them different ways (such as using console command kill or player.placeatme some bandits which kill them). Nothing seems to work :(
Edit: I "disabled" the mod in MCM. Then I saved and exited the game. Deactivated the mod. Saved and exited. Reactivated the mod. Loaded back in and it worked.
I'm sure it will break again at some point though..
Edit 2: It broke basically right away.
Edit 3: Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Worked on some people in Whiterun, but nobody in Dragonsreach. and not on modded characters. Not really sure what's going on
Edit 4: I managed to fix it after a lot of poking around. I went into SSEEdit with this mod, went to the "Spell" drop down, went to "020012CB NPCDeathAlertAddSpellSpell", scrolled all the way down, went to "Effects -> Effect #0 -> Conditions" Then I removed Condition #4 "Subject.HasSpell(NPCDeathAlertSpell "NPCDeathAlertSpell" [SPEL:020012C5]) = 0.0000 AND". Use this fix at your own risk, I don't know what I'm doing.
Now the alert seems to pop up consistently for everyone, including modded npcs.
This fixed it for me as well!
