Anyone know how to get this working if you are a vampire and using the high poly head mod and vampire fix?
It works fine normally, but while being a vampire the left hand rings don't appear in 1st person. If I move the vampire fix.esp above it, then the rings appear, but then my head reverts back to low poly. So it's like they are conflicting. Is it easy enough to make a patch?
*Nevermind, I managed to fix it by opening the High Poly Head Vampire Fix.esp in SSEdit and manually copying the 1st person settings (slot 51 in this case) from this mod into the Vampire Fix one. Working perfectly now.
im considering trying this mod. im playing a vampire in 1st person. im using Hi Poly Head 1.4. can you post your Fix for download, or at least type in the chat box the instructions so i can manually do it, Thanks.
i don't want to proceed with the installation - because I have some concerns about "Permanent".
If I uninstall this mod, will all vanilla be restored ? or is it going to make permanent changes to my save-game and thus corrupt it, so i can no longer load my save-game with-Out this installed.
this is a real concern.
if there is no problem. i'd love to try this mod. i like the old-school video games where you were allowed to wear a ring on each finger. it doesn't make any sense really why you can only wear them on 1 hand, BethesLaziness ?
This mod does not have the ring "icon" when you want to craft it (Blacksmithing/Crafting Menu). It shows a "shield" icon instead of the "ring" icon. Could you please fix this?
Does anyone know a way to patch this with Racial Body Morphs? I would like for the left rings to be visible in first person while also having differing heights between the races, but I don't know how I would go about patching that myself
There is literally ONE thing that first-time users of this mod want to know, and that is "can I transform an existing ring into a left-handed ring". The description does not mention this at all. 0/10.
Can you have the same enchantment on both a left and right handed ring and have them stack? I tried this in game and it did not work for me, but I wanted to check if not stacking is the expected/intended behavior, or if it is supposed to stack and not stacking is a bug?
Is there any reason why SkyUI icon optional patch makes it so that what you have highlighted before closing any menu will not be 'remembered' after closing and re-opening the menu, unless you equip any items or spells?
For example, in vanilla game, when you highlight a potion of minor healing then close the inventory menu and re-open it again, it will still highlight the last item you highlighted; potion of minor healing.
With the icon patch, however, the highlighted item in this case will not be the potion of minor healing; it will be whatever item you have that are on top of the list of items you have. Only by selecting and equipping(=using) any items in this 'new session of browsing menu', the last highlighted item will be highlighted again.
So, with the icon patch ---
You open up inventory menu You select and highlight potion of minor healing You close the inventory menu You open up inventory menu again The highlighted item is now whatever the item that is at the top of the inventory menu, instead of potion of minor healing You select and highlight potion of minor magicka You use potion of minor magicka The highlighted item suddenly changes to potion of minor healing

This is an aggravatingly annoying issue, and I don't think this is intentional. It happens whether or not 'sort by icon' option is also installed.
THANK YOU for the concise description of your problem. Most of the time I usually get "Don't work".
Compare the mod's config.txt file with the SkyUI one. The only difference should be the section added at the end for the modded one. This is the first time I heard about this behavior. The config file is just variables that is plugged into SkyUI. There is one thing or two thing I can try but I doubt it will change anything.
Don't use the icon mod. Functionality is more useful than something that just cosmetic.
I did compare the two config files, and while I couldn't understand any of what they say, there were lots of other differences than just at the end of them.
I'm thinking of fiddling around with Inventory Interface Information Injector and see if that can be worked out to give the left hand rings a proper icon. Looked way easier than messing with config files. Honestly, how could give one type of items a certain icon be this hard with SkyUI?
EDIT: It worked! It couldn't have been more simpler. If you're interested, I'd gladly share the json file so that you can provide it as an optional file to be used along with I4 for left hand ring icon.
No joy. Only can view the file names of the zip file. There is no option to download it.
Don't worry about it. You said it easy to figure out. The json file wouldn't tell me much right now because I am totally unfamiliar with the injector and it has been years since I played with Skyrim. I thought it would be another config.txt file.
I don't know what exactly have I done wrong that you can't download the file, but I'll just post the json input right here, then. { "$schema": "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Exit-9B/InventoryInjector/main/docs/InventoryInjector.schema.json", "rules": [ { "match": { "formType": "Armor", "mainPart": 51 }, "assign": { "subType": "Ring" } }, { "match": { "formType": "Armor", "mainPart": 50 }, "assign": { "subType": "Ring" } } ] } Save this as LeftHandRing.json and compile it under `SKSE\Plugins\InventoryInjector` along with folders and it should work.
This is great - I was not aware of this interface improvement mod until reading your post. Would you mind if I try using your json input for the left-hand rings in a mod I am working on? I will credit you if/when I publish it!

I'm in the FOMOD installer. I'm at this point..

cus if you don't need to patch this with other level list mods, you should prob advertise that.
you don't list loot table mods in incompatibility despite the desc saying they appear on npcs and you don't have spid as a dependency.
I don't have any problem using SKSE, I just don't see anything in the documentation on why it's required.
