Hey, does this affect dragons at all? Since I installed the mod, when I use Dragonrend they fly far away instead of landing and the battle takes forever. Curious if it's the mod changing their behavior.

Thanks for the mod and sorry to trouble you, your readme mentions a patch for Animallica SE.
Is this something included in your .esp, or is it a third party patch somewhere?
    Thanks a bunch!

See my comment below. Patching for Animallica is easy to do.

Magnificent mod, thank you for making this.. however, I can't help but ask, what is the difference between your mod and this : SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators? I really want to use your mod due to Skytest hasn't been updated since 2018, but I'm also using Animallica SE - Skyrim Wildlife Overhaul, I'm afraid your mod won't affect the animals from that mod or create some instabilities.

I'm about to test Animallica SE and this mod out. Are they working well together for you so far?
I'm trying these out because I was having major issues with SkyTest. I was having NPCs and elk going aggro on me for no reason (pacificist, farmer, anti thief playthrough). This was a bug others described in their posts and bugs section.

Just switched from SkyTest to this mod, animals aggro on you on sight during the afternoon evening in SkyTest.

This mod conflicts with Animalica and most other mods affecting animals (e.g. Simply Smaller Wolves - a must have to avoid ridiculous calf-sized wolves in Skyrim) and needs to be patched. Luckily it's not hard: load this mod AFTER Animalica. Fire up SSEedit. Right click on Animalica mod and click Show Conflicts - you will see red where Velexia's AI/behaviour changes conflict. Then create an .esl flagged mod called "Velexia patch" or something, and make sure the majority of the Animalica's changes get put into it, EXCEPT the key behaviour changed by Velexia's - make sure that row gets carried into the patch instead. Repeat this process with any other conflicting animal mods. Boom; you now have all the benefits of Animalica with the behaviour changes of Velexia.
If all this is too hard I might make some patches and put them on Nexus; it seems Velexia has been AWOL for a while and not sure re permissions though.

Love the main mod, but with the optional file to make horses run away, i get aggro horses at city horse stalls and my horse gets in fights with guards etc when im not riding it. It make be a load order issue i dont know

    Hello! Love this mod.

However I have a very frustrating situation with it. Animals behave as expected but if I am on horseback they will "ignore" the instructions they should follow and they attack my horse. Than means, ofcourse, that I trigger their aggro behaviour and then also attack me. I cannot ride in peace! :(
Spiders are the only creatures that keep their distance, wolves, bears, sabrecats go against my horse as soon as they spot it. I don't know what to do with this...
    Any help here? Thank you.

(I am not using a horse mod btw)

I have played a bit with SSEdit. And I have found something interesting and I would like to share it with you all. If you change the confidence of EncWolf (our dear friends...) from its value to "Average" they remain "in guard" as they should. So if there are still animals attacking you, they would probably have another value, not "Average". At least that's what worked for me. Do you know something about this Velexia? Thank you for this mod!!

EDIT: For some reason some animals don't behave as I have described when you change their confidence to "Average" one example is the IceWolf. They attack me on horseback so I am going to change their confidence and let you know what happens.

EDIT: I tried everything but the ice wolf attack me on horseback always! -_- Even with the same values than the "normal" wolves.

EDIT: I have found that all of this works somethimes, but not always, I have found wolves both "normal" and the "iced" version behaving differently. I don't know what to change to let them stay in aggro mode when I am riding a horse... -_-

Maybe they just really like the way horses taste.

Can this safely be turned off mid save?  It does make getting pelts a bit tougher when doing smithing is all.

Can you do a patch for Immersive Creatures, please? It adds bears and new wolves with pups and they're very aggressive.

This is a completely different animal ( no pun intended ) from the LE version. In this one, if I ride a horse, every animal rendered rushes to attack. I rode from Whiterun to Windhelm and went into the city. When I came back out, there was this epic guard vs animal battle taking place. If one animal goes hostile, every animal within that rendered area then also goes hostile and comes running. I've had this happen every time playing.

Gonna uninstall this version and try the LE version instead to see if there is any improvement.

No offense but this mod only makes very simple edits of the animal records so is unlikely to be doing all that ...... it is messing up USEEP though and that does need fixing

Very interesting behavior that I have never experienced. If you look at both files in xEdit you will see that they are practically identical (except where SSE added more versions of some animals so I included those). I would also look in xEdit to see if you have any conflicts. Horses are not even factored into this mod in any way except in the event that you download the cowardly horses miscellaneous file made for fibrewire which still has no impact on whether or not other creatures attack horses (It makes horses not engage in fights). I'm definitely curious to find out why your animals are behaving that way though, if you ever figure out the real culprit let me know :)

During my gameplay last night I ran a test for you, I spawned in a horse to ride, and got on it, in sight (and warning range) of a bear. The bear did not charge and attack :)--> https://i.imgur.com/ubpqrQi.png

Yep... it worked like a champ. Wolves will attack bunnies, but keep their distance and just threaten unless you run up on them now.
Spiders are back to patrolling the roads in pairs ( this one always cracked me up ) .
Skeevers will flee, unless you are level 1. In LE I had a skeever run through a tomb and "wake up" every draugr in the place to alert them to my presence, and had a spider run and literally hide behind a bear. Haven't been to the place that happened in LE yet to see if it repeats in SSE.
But yeah, just changing the LE version name and tossing it in worked perfectly.

I have had a number of SSE mods not work in SSE. Not sure what the problem is, but even Bob's Armory .esp converted to SSE wouldn't work properly and it's just items. So it could be that the SSE version just isn't working for me, but with that said, you know that vampire lord power that is supposed to slow everyone but you down? Yeah, it does the opposite in my game. Not sure who screwed that up, but my character moves at 10% speed and everything else moves at around 400% speed when using that power. SSE is more broken than LE.

EDIT: LOL! Well there is one new behavior. Apparently I have a pet bear now. No kidding haha. He followed me from Riften to Windhelm and hangs out with the two guards at the gates. When I leave, he follows me... everywhere. I can't stop laughing. I think I'm gonna rename him Wojtek.
I posted a couple of annotated screenies in your images section. I'd have put them on imgur but they banned me for supporting Hong Kong.

EDIT2: Yup, Wojtek followed me back down to Riften. On the way we ran into a spider patrol. One of the spiders ran up to the bear and I swear it looked like the two were talking... then it turned, walked up to me, paused for a moment, then took off after a couple of vampires lol. Strangely enough, after that Wojtek stopped following me lol. So apparently spider patrols have a lot of authority in the animal kingdom. :D

I too have found some weird behaviors. For example; in the Helgen Keep intro a Frostbite Spider is patrolling next to the cave bear. It's not one of the spiders from the room before. This Frostbite Spider is the type that usually spawns later after the Bandits occupy Helgen.

I've also noticed animals following NPC's. Once a horse was following Hadvar EVERYWHERE lol. I haven't seen any follow me, but they are definitely following other NPC's sometimes.

It's hard to reproduce since most of these happen at random when you come across certain situations. But, I can reproduce the spider in Helgen Keep next to the cave bear everytime and I can sometimes reproduce Hadvar and the horse.

I'm going to take a look at it in SSEEdit and see if any adjustments can be made to fix this.

Essential mod. I always found it ridiculous that wolves, cats and bears would attack when they have no reason to do so. I love that the wolves bark at you to stay away and then attack if you linger or get too close. Nice touch.

Hello. I really like the idea of your mod, but I was wondering if you could make a version that forwards USLEEP (or whatever) record changes. :)
