I just wanted to post that this works with Magical College of Winterhold, though the chest is in an awkward spot with that mod but still accessible. I tried moving it in the CK but it moved back to its original spot after the script activated so there must be something in the script that keeps it in that spot and the author provided no source to hopefully change this.
Could we get a patch for Immersive College of Winterold? This mod completely replaces the Arch-Mage Quarters with a duplicate placed above the old one, making the chest normally inaccessible.
so after using this, it seems that the items will only duplicate once, so 1 giants toe to 6, until you pull them out and put more in. It will also duplicate all ingredients you put in, example if you put in a giants toe, hagraven feathers, hagraven claws, and some large antlers, all of them will duplicate. Pretty useful for potion making. Any plans to allow duplication to happen multiple times?
I wanted the mod to be somewhat in line with the way the mechanic worked back in Oblivion. That is why I do not allow the duplication to happen on multiples of an item.
Additionally, but maybe also a little unreasonably performance oriented. I wanted to avoid triggering scripts more than necessary. With the current approach my script will only trigger once after the content of the chest has changed. This makes the mod quite cheap and that was my intention.
