v1.4 is now available. There are many changes, see the change log for more information. The biggest change though is the inclusion of a Lore Friendly variant. My new preference Let me know what you think.
I have also uploaded a copy of the Lore Friendly variant (new mines) to Bethesda.net for all systems. There is a standard version and a USSEP version.
I don't know if it's been suggested yet, but having a patch for the 'Settlements Expanded' mod would be great. It adds a new location called "Coldstone Mine" and this mod should be able to rename it to either "Coldstone Ebony Mine" or "Coldstone Mine (Ebony)".
Sorry for the late reply... I'll be honest with you, I have no issue making the mod compatible with other mods, but I don't use or want to use Settlements Expanded because it is an unsafe mod (meaning it breaks your save game if you uninstall it). So, because I don't have it installed, I wouldn't be able to keep it up to date. Sorry.
@Degrelescence I came here to see if the suggestion had already been made. I believe that it's a good practice to not uninstall any mods aside from texture and some audio replacers mid-game, to be especially safe. That said, I respect your thoughts and final decision.
This mod only modifies the listed map markers. Unless another mod also changes those markers, it should be compatible. Unless there is a mod that renames a location or moves the marker, there is no reason for them to touch it. Even modifying an area shouldn't change the associated marker.
Super late reply, but: A good catch! I thought about Knifepoint (and a couple others) a lot while making the mod. The answer I came to was that this wouldn't be marked as a mine on anyone's map. It has a couple ores but really isn't a mine. Let me know if you really disagree with that and I will reconsider.
A new version is available. After many hours of work, there has been a full overhaul of the mod, hopefully eliminating all bugs and dirty edits as well as ensuring compatibility with Skyrim Special Edition. I also built in new options and made and installer to make the install a bit easier.
I searched for this on Beth.net and couldn't find it. It's possible he put it under a diff name or something so I went ahead and reuploaded it with this name for all consoles with USSEP options (no USSEP for PS4).
this is my original post from the site of Realistic Water Two:
hey first your mod is amazing! i use it without any problems and the water just looks amazing!
i found out that -detailed mine markers- is somehow not working well with RW2. its regardless of load order (i have rw2 lower than dmm) i made some pics so you can see for yourself. these pics are without -detailed mine markers-
Spoiler:

i know its not your mods fault, i just wonder if there is any way to patch it myself? for know i dont see the actual conflict in sseedit and if, shouldnt load order fix it?
edit: this is next to halted stream camp edit2: actually i found out there are some other flaws in this mod so not going to use it anymore deleted unnecessary img but leave the post for people who still use it.
So are you still working on this mod? is there a way to fix this?
I posted 2 days ago that there are some unexpected issues because it was a direct port from original Skyrim. I plan to fix them this weekend, would have done it earlier but rebuilding a mod from scratch takes time.
Iron Breaker mine, in Dawnstar, has an invisible map marker on the world map and shows a red dot on the compass (like enemies would) instead of the "Mine" marker.
SkyrimCliff and SLBD0nKEYman thanks for letting me know about a couple of issues. I will look into those and fix them when I make lexo1000's suggested change. Been a busy week but I will update everything shortly.

Thank you!
Made it so I couldnt see tracked quests on map.
One suggestion if I may: Could Knifepoint Mine be given a map marker and renamed? I understand if it's a tricky one,
Many thanks!
Thank you for this wonderful mod. Very nice touch to the game.
Someone asked if they could move this over to Bethesda.net a while ago. It should be there. Is it not? Should I post it?
