It's not that I'm against two mods modding the same thing but you do realize that there already is a mod for the Wispmother, which comes with the option of 4k compressed diffuse and 2k normal maps textures, right?

      Yes! I do know.
I did just want to make my version with full free permission for users who does want to use it.
My assets are completely free (the ones completely made by me, this is the unique example for now).
This make a great difference for those who make mods, but not to users who only download mods.

As I didn't find any reason for making 4K textures (it just consumes more VRAM and the "better" quality textures would be almost imperceptible because we just fight Wispmothers instead of admiring them closely) I decided to make 2K textures instead of 4K.

Hope I answered your question :D

      Happy new year!

As far as i understand using 4K textures do not mean that they will consume more VRAM, it just gives you the opprutinity to use zoom in more and receive more details. Yes in potential they will consume more VRAM but only at high resolutions so if you play at 4K or 1440p you will be okay, especially at 1440p you will not even see the textures are 4K but they will be at 1440p quality but you could zoom in more and not lose details...

Yes there is no point in using 4K except screen archery
