How well does it play with other texture mods? (Noble, SMIM etc?) also is it compatible with mods that override/replace all buildings in a settlement (Cities of the North Dawnstar) and other minor town overhauls (The Great Cities Rorikstead/Markarth/Falkreath etc)?
working on SMIM patch right now to maintain the 3d ropes on farmhouses.
If a mod uses the vanilla farmhouse assets (e.g. farmhouse01.nif, farmhouse02, nif, inn01.nif etc etc) then these will be affected by my mod and you will get my look for them. But I barely touched vanilla textures, and you can overwrite my mod with any texture replacer like noble Skyrim. You will get my farmhouses and you will get noble textures for any new meshes stuff that calls for vanilla farmhouse textures. I just recommend you to leave my woodwalkway01 as conflict winner so the walkways will still fit to my farmhouses
Hope this helps even if it sounds a little confusing. TLDR: My mod is pretty compatible out of the box.
Ok did some testing it is confirmed compatible with:
- Arthmoor settlement mods - The Great City of Winterhold/Falkreath/Morthal - Noble Skyrim - SMIM (there is a patch anyway) - Cities of the North Dawnstar
Feel free to put it on the mod description page, just in case some people would want to check.
A question, what do you think of a natural or gray version? As an optional download. By that I mean that you use natural stone, for example, and the wood is spruce. (Viking Lang House). I like your mod very much because of its many different house textures. So I wanted to ask.
TBH, I do not plan making adaptions to this mod at the moment. But, if you want to just change the colors of textures, it might be worth for you to get to know GIMP or Photoshop. All you would have to do is load the texture (you need dds plugin for that, available), change color with a slider to your liking, re-export the image.
Actually, you can use Paint.net to change colors. It supports DDS files and there's zero learning curve :). Much easier than Gimp or Photoshop and it's already on your computer.
I wouldn't be able to do something like that, I'll just connect several mods together. As long as I pay attention to the mesh's textures, that should work.
Hi, Velanimus, thank you for this great overhaul! Could you please tell me how can I make this mod compatible with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23432 and how did you make your meshes compatible with bds v3?
I dont use it personally (I actually never saw too much difference compared to the vanilla snow shader, but maybe i am just a muff), but I will maybe take a look into it.
I find the variety of different types such as wood, clay, stone very good. In Vanilla and Mods there are often only 1-2 types of wood and stone. Yet a house is much more than that. A city wall is not like a house, etc. Sorry the bad english. I will test your Mod and i hope my Skyrim like it, too. <3
EDIT: Your Mod clean my fireplace in farm houses. The Wall Fireplace not the Fireplace in Inn's.
Exactly, it does not make sense to me that every farmhouse in all of Skyrim is built with the same stone type and wood. This mod gives the impression of more variety.
Sorry I am not quite sure what problem you are talking of. Can you send a screenshot comparison with/without the mod?
I have no firewood in the fireplace in small farmhouse, but i found the problem. So the fire is back and the wood. Your textures made my firewood textures invisible. I changed the SMIM and the firewood textures everything worked.
So it is no Problem any more. Yesterday it was too late to write another article. Now you answered before I could edit it.
I send you a Picture from your nice Mod and said Thank you!! <3 LOVE https://ibb.co/SwTxpPN
Beautiful. But, I use "thatchs for JK Skyrim" and I find them a bit too "red" and not enough "yellow". For information, I installed vivid weather and no ENB, I don't know if it can change something.

Just came back to get the updates.
Solid work, always in my load order(s).
Thanks a velanimillion!

That would be great if it were to be patched. But I won't be giving up your farmhouses, though. I changed snow mods instead, for now.

Looks like the file was misnamed? :) The content seems right, though.
