About this mod

This mod is a simple patch that corrects the "shiny candy wrapper" defect that the outfits have due to missing data pertaining to the textures.

This patch only applies to the standalone set. Several people have reported that this issue is fixed within BS-Bruma.

I really like the Colovian Fur Outfit by steelfeathers but there is an issue with the current version of it where the red outfit has a "shiny candy wrapper" appearance when viewed in the inventory and the blue outfit has the same defect when worn. Unfortunately, this applies to both the cloth and armor versions which can turn away people from using an otherwise visually awesome set. I applied the changes to both the male and female sets. I have written to the mod author to notify him that I am uploading this patch, and will be happy to remove it once the changes are implemented in the original mod. Until then please enjoy. If this does not fix the problem for you, please let me know, and I will investigate further. Please keep in mind, however, that I barely qualify as a hobbyist when it comes to creating mods and I don't usually upload my mods... so it might take some time for me to figure out how to fix the problem.

For those interested in how I addressed the issue or are experiencing similar problems, the following is for you: the items were missing the appropriate alternate texture references within the files themselves. Using xEdit, I inspected the files and added the appropriate data where it was missing. For the red outfit, this was the texture reference for the ground NIF. For the blue outfit, this was the texture reference for the world NIF. Essentially, there was no information provided telling SSE what the final texture layer was, and therefore what it should look like, for the red ground and blue world model respectively.
