Just using the esp file, instead of the whole mod archive, would give you the new voice, but you might end up with black face bug then. I could make a separate esp with the voice change only, but I don't have my gaming laptop available right now, if you have Creation Kit installed you can change her voice easily, load Creation Kit with Skyrim and Updates data files, find Lydia under Actors category (use the search on top and write Housecarl in the search), open her character, change the voice to FemaleYoungEager, click OK, then save the new esp file and name it whatever you want.
Finally someone has recognized Lydia needed a personality transplant! Been waiting so long for this! Sadly this does not register in NMM. I hope that is something you can fix, because this is something I would love to use.
I use NMM and I installed it with no issues. It might be one of those rar glitches that happen sometimes where the rar doesn't register for some people, unpack the rar, then pack the extracted folder as zip and try installing again, that should work, if not let me know
You likely have leftover textures in Data folder from previous attempted installation, uninstall the zip, check meshes/actors/character/facegendata/facegeom and textures/actor/character/facegendata/facetint folder and look for DifferentLydia.esp folders in those, delete them if present and then install zip. I use CBBE with Mature Skin and it's not a problem. If that doesn't work let me know.
Lydia has the black face bug. NMM install .RAR or .7z, all the same. I like how she looks on your pics. However, vanilla Lydia in my game looks not that bad, in this respect I fully agree with Outlawhurdle. The last I heard about ‘To each his own’ was ‘jedem das seine Buchenwald’, google. The case can be sensitive.
It’s all just fine now. However, I doubt if the people who has body, face and hair mods installed will find your option obviously better. I have to refer to the picture below in Outlawhurdle’s comment, my Lydia is close to that version. How to catch your pretty version, no idea. Thanks for your mod.
