this is cool, i wish the landmass of sovengard was far far bigger, and i wish this fight was more varied and amazing and reflected Alduin's power and lordship, like when the battle starts and you have all your battle buddies, the sovengard gate opens up again as Alduin calls out for all dragons to come through the portal to sovengard for a final showdown, and the entire landscape could be in an outright war, and the land mass would reflect an army of the hero's of sovengard all taking up arms with the fight against the dragons in a vast valley of sovengard.
that ending would have been so much better than what was given to us with in the vanilla game.
maybe this landmass could be called the sovengard isles and there are 3 kingdoms scattered around the map where you the dragonborn must help them and gather some of these kingdom's hero's to your side to take on the darkness to the next kingdom, and after releasing them from their strongholds they band together to ward off the mist and defend their kingdom and take on all the dangers to ward off of Alduin's snare mist.
and once all the kingdom's are good to defend themselves, you take your hero's who volunteered to help you on your final fight against the world eater himself in the last kingdom of sovengard, as Alduin calls out a final call for all dragons to his lordship to join him in the final battle, as countless dragons start coming out of the portal in the sky all roaring their fire breath creating an quake and rumbling a of the land below with fire falling from the sky as all the hero's of sovengard battle the worm's allies.
anyway this was kind of inspired to write this simply because i read what this mod does, and i know my idea is out there and it probably wouldn't even happen or take place, but wouldn't it be cool if it did end like this?
To expand upon JotunYmir's point: In the vanilla Companions questline, after he is killed by the Silver Hand, Kodlak's soul flees to Ysgramor's tomb for refuge from Hircine and his hounds (for however long it will last), because he longs to go to Sovngarde instead of the Hunting Grounds. Part of finishing the Companions questline is going there to lift the lycanthropic curse and cleanse Kodlak's soul of the wolf. This releases him finally to go to Sovngarde. If you complete the Companions quest before the main quest, you can find Kodlak in Sovngarde when you get there. First, he is hiding in the mist like all the other NPCs you come across. If he is not consumed by Alduin before the mist is cleared and Alduin defeated, he will come and celebrate with all the other surviving NPCs before you are sent back to Nirn by Tsun.
I know others have posted Afterlife but given that's LE only currently, is there any chance you might be able to add more characters into Sovngarde through your mod?
