This kind of also works with the Skyrim is Luminous mod (by the same author as Luminosity) but with a slight difference: If you are interior and you open the map then this patch will not work But if you switch to normal map mode (Xbox controller button X) then the lighting will be back to corrected)
If you are exterior and you open the map, the lighting is right on the spot.
Huh. That's... interesting. This would mean that Skyrim uses different imagespaces in those two cases. I'll have to look into that, out of curiosity if nothing else. I have no idea why they would implement it like that.
Found anything? This is not a dealbreaker for me but I don't remember if this also happened earlier with Luminosity or just happen "Skyrim is Luminous" mod.
Could you remove the hard dependencies? I'm getting unfulfilled dependencies even though I have the latest version of quality world map installed and activated
Hi, thank you for this mod! Now I can see the map without getting blind! But seems like the map has been changed by this mod into the no road one. I've been using the one which shows the roads on the map like the ones on the images, but once I installed this mod, all of the roads disappeared. Do you know how to get back the roads? It's a bit hard to see how to go to somewhere else without seeing the actual roads...
EDIT: Hi again. Sorry, I found that it was actually caused by Cathedral Landscapes which I installed along with Cathedral Weathers and Seasons at the same time when I installed Luminosity and this one. This mod was the only mod which was related to the map, so I thought this was the problem, but when I searched for the other info, I found that Perfect Terrain LOD apparently causes this issue and it is included in the Cathedral Landscapes. Anyway, sorry for my misunderstanding and thank you for the mod!
I eventually decided to remove Luminosity, but this should be helpful for the other users for sure!
the map was bothering me for a while but when I finally looked into it a few days ago I assumed it was cathedral weather doing it luckily this was the first result on google. thanks for saving my eyeballs!
Great mod, thanks! When I noticed my map was screwed up I thought, oh no here goes another 2 hours of my time trying to figure out how to fix it, but then I found this a minute later :)
I assume it is not compatible with the latest Luminosity update. Deactivated until update available (or have time to create my own patch based on this)
For anyone else who's wondering, I just checked and this patch is still necessary for Luminosity 4.2.
I could be wrong, but I believe that the team based this latest release off an older version, instead of the 4.1 release that fixes the world map weather. (It also doesn't fix the Hag's End acoustic space, which 4.1 did.)
Latest 4.2 Luminosity Update has a new ESP name (and the archive name is different). I'm not sure if patching still would work except if you change the name in CK or SEEdit, but in my experience the patch is deactivated by mod manager because dependencies do not match. However 4.2 was not set as current version but 4.1 is no longer downloadable. I'm not sure why 4.1 was purged.
This patch clones the default Skyrim SE imagespace and makes A Quality Worldmap use that new copy of said imagespace, that way the world map is not affected by changes to the default imagespace that Luminosity (or any other mod, really) might implement.
So any changes to Luminosity itself don't matter at all for this patch. (Edit: Unless they change the clone of the default imagespace, but I can't imagine why they would want to do that.)
I haven't tested it, since the paper worldmap was broken for the longest time. It probably should work, unless the paper worldmap does something really odd with its Imagespaces.
