About this mod

Based on the original 'Improved Dragon Priest Masks SE', this takes suggestions from user thekrcko to rebalance the mod. Rahgot, Otar, Krosis and Nahkriin have each had several values tweaked. Additionally, I created another main file which includes my own tweaks that also revert the original armour type/stat changes back to vanilla.

Mask Changes: 

(Again, it's mostly the same as the original mod, therefore alot of it is copy pasted but reformated. Changes have only been made to Rahgot, Otar, Krosis and Nahkriin)

NOTE: IF YOU WOULD LIKE ARMOUR STATS/ARMOUR TYPE (LIGHT ARMOUR, HEAVY ARMOUR, ARMOUR RATINGS) TO BE REVERTED TO VANILLA, I'VE INCLUDED AN ADDITIONAL MAIN FILE, 'Main File - 2', TO DO SO.

Also note that the images are of Main File - 2b, as that's the one which i'm using because of my mod setup/list. More about the 'b' suffix in the compatibility section.

Miraak
  • Increases your Magicka by 50/75/100.
  • Magicka regenerates 25/50/75% faster.
  • Destruction spells cost 5/10/15% less to cast.
  • Time between shouts is reduced by 5/5/5%.

Heavy Armour

Konahrik
  • Konahrik's Privilege
  • Time between shouts is reduced by 30%.

Rahgot
  • Stamina Regenerates 30% faster.
  • Time between shouts is reduced by 20%.

Hevnoraak
  • Two-handed attacks do 20% more damage.
  • Block 20% more damage.
  • Health Regenerates 50% faster.

Otar
  • Increases Magic Resistance by 25%.
  • Increases your Fire Resistance by 30%.
  • Increases your Frost Resistance by 30%.
  • Increases your Shock Resistance by 30%.

Light Armour

Krosis
  • Archery attacks do 30% more damage.
  • Created potions and poisons are 20% more powerful.
  • Sneaking is 20% better.

Volsung
  • One-handed attacks do 20% more damage.
  • Increases Light Armor skill by 25 points.
  • Block 20% more damage.

Vokun
  • Changed to "Light", armor and weight reduced. 
  • Pickpocket success is 20% better.
  • Lockpicking is 20% easier.
  • Muffle, 0.5 magnitude.

Unarmoured/Clothing
 


Nahkriin
  • Changed to "Clothing", armor rating removed, weight reduced.
  • All spells cost 20% less to cast.

Morokei

  • Changed to "Clothing", armor rating removed, weight reduced.
  • Magicka regenerates 100% faster.
  • Time between shouts is reduced by 20%.

Ahzidal, Dukaan and Zahkriisos

  • Changed to "Clothing", armor rating removed, weight reduced.
  • Increases your Fire/Frost/Shock Resistance by 50%.
  • Increases your Fire/Frost/Shock Damage by 25%.
  • Time between shouts is reduced by 10%.

Compatibility:

I have gone through SSEedit and compared the mod to my current load order and modlist (~270 plugins) and had a couple of findings...

  • Konahrik's Accoutrements doesn't modify any of the same values. One thing to keep in mind however, is that the armour type changes don't really work well with Konahrik's Accoutrement's armours because the armour sets in that mod are made in mind with the vanilla armour types in mind. (Eg, one armour set might be light, and the matching mask may have been changed to clothing with this mod). This is one of the main reasons why I included the option to change that back to vanilla.

TL;DR If using Konahrik's Accoutrements, you should use the version with armour type/stat changes reverted to vanilla. No biggie if you don't though.

  • The changes made to Miraak's mask creates conflicts with Zims Immersive Artifacts and Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes, therefore i've included two versions without ANY changes to Miraak's mask. 'Main File - 1b' is the same as the 'Main File - 1' file simply without changes to Miraak's mask. 'Main File - 2b' is the other version which is the same as the 'Main File - 2' file with armour type/stat changes reverted to vanilla and without changes to Miraak's mask.

TL;DR If using Zims Immersive Artifacts or Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes, use 'Main File - 1b' or 'Main File - 2b' (Depending on preference or if you're using Konahrik's Accoutrements)

  • I am well aware of the original mod and the compatibility patch that was made between it and Warmonger's Armory. I will need to create my own compatibility patch for the the changes I've made at some point, but I don't use Warmonger's Armory atm. Either that or someone else makes it which i'm cool with as long as they abide by the perms/rules of the original mod this was based on, and the perms/rules of the Warmonger's Armory author/uploader.

Originally, I was planning on just making this for myself, for personal use. Then I checked the original permissions on the page and figured I'd upload it for the convenience of anyone who'd be interested in the changes.
