This is a port of my LE version of the mod - A standalone version has been added, which requires no other mod to function - A "Keep It Clean" compatible version has been added for users of that mod. I will not be able to troubleshoot that file, as I currently don't use that mod myself - A "Bathing in Skyrim" compatible version has also been provided, it might need some testing, so feel free to give some feedback if you're using that version. Can't really troubleshoot much on that one either, as I don't currently use Bathing in Skyrim either - A "Dirt and Blood" compatible version has been added, for users of that mod. Do notice there are three versions of this one, depending on your version of Dirt and Blood as well, so you have to make sure you use the versions that are compatible. The most recent one for v2.0 is in the optional files, the two files for older versions of Dirt and Blood are under the old files section
v. 1.2 is here, now you will no longer need the Merchant perk to buy the soaps, they are purchasable per default now. Also, instead of always having 5 soaps for sale, innkeepers will now have 0-6 soaps for sale, with an average of 4-5.
Working on a version 1.3 with many more new soaps. Added a teaser image. Will release whenever Skyrim and SSE has done updating since I can't be bothered to mod a game that I always have to update.
Update: While the new soaps are done, I cannot be bothered with all the fragmented updates that is the current status of Skyrim modding. I also have an old, unupdated game version and have pretty much retired from Skyrim modding as it is. There will be no more updates for this or my other mods for the foreseeable future, sorry. Enjoy what you have, and maybe we meet again on the path to Sovngarde.
I do apologize if this is quite forward of me for asking, would you be willing to release your new soaps to somebody who would wholesomely maintain them as a new mod for you? And should you ever decide to return to Skyrim modding, you might resume control of the mod, or shouldn't you, the burden of undulating epic soapcraft has been lifted from weary shoulders and the humble public gets to enjoy hard work gone unrecognized for so very long.
I would with decidedly little hesitation ask for this quest myself however my expertise lies largely in pixel art, so I would be of minimal use in this mission. I do have some graphic design skills and furthermore have well considered making personalized textures for myself that I might have asked willing others to make into new unique items through their own modding practice. Disconcertingly though my plate is far over-served with several projects, and several more I have been neglecting to stomach. Such is life, is it not friend? Priorities ebb and flow with the times, current goals falter and furtive embers spark anew leading on unexpected paths.
Regardless, thank you for your great and wholly underappreciated contribution to the cleanliness of Nords, Elves, and Men. May the gamers of the world take note and wash themselves with such vigor as their virtual characters, all do thanks to you.
Godspeed in your travels wherever they may take you. Best wishes,
- If you want to use these soaps in your own mods, the textures and meshes used are free to get at the linked page from Amelli, and you can use them if you credit her duly. Do this instead of using mine
So you could use the textures and meshes, but you'd have to do the coding for BISR from scratch. Which... wouldn't be that hard, honestly, just reverse engineer the already-existing BIS patch.
Hi! I have Inn Soaps- Keep it clean version loaded and I have been to the Four Seasons Inn and a few others and there is no soap for sale from the barkeep. In the actual bath s there are soaps for sale but the bartenders don't have any. Am I missing something? I also have LOTD loaded and am trying to get the soaps that go on the display stand in the bathroom of the safehouse.
I am having the same problem. However, I know it works just fine with the stand-alone. I am going to learn SSEEdit, but I don't know it yet, is there another way for this to be patched meanwhile?
This mod (Dirt and Blood v2.0) isn't compatible with "Inn Soaps Display for Legacy of the Dragonborn". It seems like the display for LotD mod changed the soap to an ingredient, and you can't get the shower effect of D&B. fixed: Found a way to make it work; all you need to do is to open the DBM Inn soaps patch in xEdit ->Misc.Item-> From each location Copy VendorItemSoap from "Inn Soap.esp" to "DBM_InnSoap_Patch.esp" and remove "VendorItemIngredient," "VendorItemTool" & "Vendor_Item_Soap".
If you're using "Dirt and Blood Expanded" with "Inn Soaps" by Carboniac and "InnSoaps - Dirt and Blood" by Sakatsuky. Then "BothSoaps_DNBE.esp" from "Dirt and Blood Expanded" should load after "Inn Soaps Display for Legacy of the Dragonborn".
If like me anyone else is struggling to find the actual soaps in game, here's the vendor list from xEdit:
Braidwood Inn - Kynesgrove
Dawnstar - Windpeak Inn
Dragon Bridge - Four Shields Tavern
Falkreath - Dead Man's Drink
Ivarstead - Vilemyr Inn
Morthal - Moorside Inn
Old Hroldan - Old Hroldan Inn
The Pale - Nightgate Inn
Rorikstead - Frostfruit Inn
Winterhold - The Frozen Hearth
Why this isn't plastered front and center in the mod description is beyond me lol. Once both The Sleeping Giant and The Bannered Mare didn't have soaps for sale I figured the mod wasn't working. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My inn soaps seem to be all mixed around. Such as, any particular inn will have several different inn soaps but may not have their own soap. Is this an incompatibility with something else I've got installed?
Yes it is. My soaps are added directly into the vendor chest of each vendor. If you have them scrambled all over, you must have some mods that randomize items. My soaps are flagged with vendoritem misc flags, so maybe you have a mod that grabs all items with those flags and randomizes them.
I had planned to add them, and all the models are ready. Unfortunately, with all the recent updates to the game and fragmentation of game versions, I don't really have an updated working Skyrim game, and no inclination to deal with the mess and the fallout of these different versions. So the new soaps will most likely not get added in the near future. Sorry. Blame Bethesda.

Open up all your mods in SSEEdit and see what mods override my vendor chest changes. You can easily patch it via SSEEdit this way too.
