Version 1.1 is out! It includes some juicy tweaks to existing butterfly AI. As always, the goal for this mod is to remain non-intrusive; so I am focusing on performance over functionality. Butterfly changes should be more visible with this release.
All mods that add new butterflies or moths will require a patch to implement the adjusted landing changes. However, the mod will function without a patch and was designed not to spam your script logs with errors.
**** FOR THOSE WONDERING ABOUT THE NEXT UPDATE (posted on December 2, 2019) **** I have every intention to return and finish my work. However, I'm in the process of transitioning into my first full-time job. I'll come back when I have the time required to publish a proper update. That may be in a few weeks or in several months. Until then, I hope you enjoy the mod in its current state.
For version 1.2, look forward to: - Merge with Butterflies Land True (big thanks to Wanderhall for working with me on this). There will be 2 versions available - with and without BLT's world changes. (BLT version will become the main file) - Modded plant support.
Update on compatibility with Critter - Simply Script Fixes: ReDragon2013 has replied to my request and has given me permission to implement their changes to the script. That'll be done in a later version. Thank you ReDragon!
Not at all! I made this because of Butterflies land true! They do completely different things. :) This improves butterfly behavior, whereas that mod fixes the butterfly landing issue. They go hand in hand.
I'm a bit confused on the CACO - Patch, it does patch out the butterflies added by CACO, but does nothing to resolve the conflict between this mod & CACO for the vanilla butterflies. Is this intended ? If yes, should CACO or this mod be loaded first ?
As I use Seasons of Skyrim and plant variety mods, landing zones are iffy at best, but the behavior is crucial. I bless you. Oh... does this include moths? Meant to ask earlier.
[08/16/2023 - 07:48:41AM] [Butterflies Unchained] One or more of your mods adds a butterfly that requires a compatibility patch for optimal performance. You may encounter hovering butterflies in the meantime.
I came here to say that I love & had this mod for the longest time, because this is included in the Unofficial skyrim's modders pack according to loot. Thank you for this wonderful mod
