Man. You are always posting alternatives on peoples mod pages. That's really kind of rude. If you like recommending mods so much make a darn guide or something.
I don't think it's really rude at all. Just because mods are similar doesn't mean they affect the same things. Also, not all mods are up-to-date, so doing this can help compatibility. And that's not saying boo to mod authors for not updating, I mean, Bethesda LOVES its stealth updates.
I personally really appreciate that he does this. He always posts on both pages, so it's not like he's playing favorites. It's a shame Nexus doesn't just implement a 'similar mods'/'you might also wish to see' function. Modders could enable or disable this on their own pages as they like.
So I ran into a weird issue where . So after completing the quest I bought the house, but am unable to purchase any upgrades for it. So its just an empty house with a bed upstairs. Anyone else have this issue?
So I ran into a weird issue where I was able to buy the house before blood and ice quest. But I didnt because I was worried it was a bug. So after completing the quest I bought the house, but am unable to purchase any upgrades for it. So its just an empty house with a bed upstairs. Anyone else have this issue?
Thank you. This alternative fits better with the Blood on the Ice overhaul as in that mod you can avoid getting bottle-necked into getting the court wizard arrested.
So Hjerim isn't available in vanilla, unless you join Ulfric's cause? I love to stay as neutral as possible (even during Seasons Unending) and mostly only solve the murder mystery in Windhelm, not really interested in purchasing Hjerim at all, as I usually own multiple houses at that time and owning yet another seems too much for me (hell I hardly use Breezehome now, which was my favorite house at times, well). But I'd never expected there's such damn restriction for those interested in that house. Kuddos to your mod.
EDIT: It seems weird, that you HAVE to side with Ulfric to purchase the house in his capital city, when there's no such restriction in Solitude, you definitely don't have to side with Tullius to be able to purchase the house (Proudspire Manor or whatever?), so really weird condition that one.
Thank you for this mod! It works as it is...but I found it a bit weird that this house has tavern sounds. I have other mods affecting audio-sfx like audio overhaul, sounds of skyrim, immersive sounds compendium, but only this house so far got tavern sounds after it is available as a house.
I looked around but haven't found the answer/solution, anyone have any ideas?
I think this mod is either bugged, or conflicts with something I already have installed. Personally, I think it's bugged, since I only have about 12 mods on Special Edition, so it's not given alot of opportunities to conflict with anything really. Maybe some sort of update Bethesda made to the game, or something?
Basically, the barmaid in Windhelm never gets murdered, so the Blood on the Ice quest never begins anymore. In exchange, the house is ALWAYS for sale, and she just runs around with essential status indefinitely. Any idea if there's a way to fix this?
That is... very strange. I haven't had anyone else report anything like this. Mind telling me the mods you have just in case? I'll take a look and see if anything's changed in vanilla in the meantime.
EDIT: doesn't appear anything should have changed. The thing is, I don't actually touch the quest at all. I just change it so it checks if the quest has finished. That means the quest must somehow have been marked as finished for you.
