nice, seems you exchanged some smim ropes with my ropes or you recolored/omitted them. looks nice! my mod (and my game) was not changed for a long time so i apprecheate such kind of feedback. the last i added was support for medieval lanterns.
Hi, sorry, I think my post was not making clear what my question was. What I meant was that I noticed my targets looking different, and found after a while that its ropes had been changed by this mod. My question was, whether the change of the targets was intentional? Or was it more of a side effect, as the ropes are maybe used in another place, too? It surprised me, as I had not expected a rope mod to change targets. These are the textures doing this:
Hi! (Same question as above, but in German)
ja stimmt ;) i respond in english so others can follow. this is an unavoidable side effect if different objects for different purposes use the same texture (that's not my decision). just use the mod you like more or you think which fits better for natural rope replacement or if you like more colorful ropes and disable my mod. it is not my decision as my mod delivers just the rope textures you pointed out. the problem is the mod which uses the same texture name for its meshes but maybe intends to show colorful ropes. my intention was to make all natural ropes look natural and not colored and this is what my mod does, so my rope textures work as the they should. it is definitely not a problem with my mod because my ropes will look natural as intended. i can not tell why another mod uses non standard colored rope textures (which my mod replaces as intended if it uses meshes which address textures for natural ropes).
Yea, the side effects in retextures are sometimes strange - Pfuscher said something on it once, about the difficulties of retexturing objects when the further effects may sometimes not be visible right away, haha.
Anyway, thanks for the reply, glad to know I'm not losing it! xD
don't know if i get your problem correctly. it is absolutely possible that my textures cover not all ropes. if you can give me the meshname i will have a look at this and may include my rope texure for the stockade mesh.
all right. this is a mesh problem, not a texture problem. this is not covered in my mod. you need to install smim or another mesh mod offering a 3D mesh model explicitly for these stockade ropes. i'm not sure if this exists for all stockades. you may ask brumbek as the author of smim to cover this if not already included. vanilla mesh is ugly and 2D. my texture mod can not cure this. this problem is covered in the last paragraph of my mod description
I have smim installed since long time. Maybe one day I have overwrited accidentally the smim 3d rope meshes. :/ But I have well 3D rope meshes in lot of other places. Mod SMIM is always maintained ? The last version dates from July 2018...
absolutely! works a treat. havent´t had any issue with it, but if i see something i´ll report back. the textures look very realistic close up and most important, they´re not too glossy or bright like some other retex around ;) which is very helpful in VR cause bright stuff is an eyesore
those ropes are awsome - thank you for that I just ran into a problem at Solitude Docks - only a few ropes got your textures - and I have no clue what happened. Maybe someone has a hint what I did wrong?
thanks for your feedback! put my mod at the very end of your load order and maybe you must apply achive invalidation. itseems my mod is only partly working due to another mod with higer priority overwriting some of my textures. i hope you find the mod...
it could also be possible that you use a mod incompatble to smim which changes the rope meshes using its own rope texture paths. this may even more diffficult to find out. if you use modorganizer or another advanced organizer tool you may see the conflicting textures or meshes.

if you find locations or mods which should be covered by this mod please pm me and i will have a look.
if you are interested in brighter rope options have a look at my le mod (same title) file folder.
The "ropes" in the smim clutter directory are responsible for the coloring of the archery target. Omitting four textures fixes this, so - success!
May be old news, but it surprised me
Anyway, thanks for the reply, glad to know I'm not losing it! xD
Thanks !

Now everything looks like it should be - thanks again.
i'm taking it not too serious. lupus is not a rookie but it seems that it happened by accident...
