Thanks for this mod. Unfortunately I have one problem with the eyes of some foxes. I suspect they are from SkyTest or Animallica. I have the patch for SkyTest. I hope you have an idea what can I do.
I can check compatibility with both SkyTest and Animallica later this week, but I would assume it's a conflict with Animallica since it has its own meshes and textures
Both Animallica and SkyTest should both be fine with the main Cutie Foxies file, as it only changes the appearance of the base game foxes. Animallica and SkyTest do not change these (they both add their own variations, but they use separate assets). I'm not sure what happened with the fox in your image (I can't replicate the issue, but I can try again later). Have you tried reinstalling the main file?
If you also use my Friendly Fox mod, then SkyTest has one incompatibility since both mods change the fox behaviour. Additionally, any foxes spawned by SkyTest seem to have inherited the health regen from my mod (no idea why). Animallica has a single leveled list issue with Friendly Foxes. I would suggest having SkyTest, Friendly Foxes, and then Animallica in the load order, but you won't see any of my silver foxes in the wild (although your children can still bring one home) without a quick xEdit patch
Thanks for your reply. I reinstalled the mod and deleted the silver fox textures and meshes. In game I found two dead red foxes with your textures and hope that all now is good. But I'm playing without your Friendly Foxes now.
The main file says it's required for all of the others, but I only want the friendly foxes part, not the visual edits. Is there a way to use that particular file without having the textures and everything changed as well?
It only took me several weeks, but I finally got around to uploading a miscellaneous file that doesn't affect the meshes/textures while retaining their modified behavior
the vanilla assets version of friendly foxes in the miscellaneous files section should be compatible with feral foxes (i can test it later), but all the other files are probably not compatible since both mods replace the fox mesh
Sweet Roll is just a texture swap for foxes so she needs a patch to be compatible with the mesh swap for this mod. I know how to do this though, so I've already done so and have information on how to do just that! ;D
This mod needs a couple new folders made under the Textures folder, then it needs to have its \Textures\actors\ folder copied into it. The results should be a directory structure like this: \Cutie Foxies - SSE Port (and extras)\Textures\CreationClub\VSVSSE002\actors\
That will overwrite Sweet Roll's texture swap with this mods, making her look like every other red fox but in exchange for losing her uniqueness she looks beautiful.
Sorry for the late reply, but thank you. Hopefully that helped someone in the past few months I don't have the slightest idea why the CC creator didn't just use the vanilla fox texture pathing
I finally got around to editing Sweet Roll (with color variations) in the friendly fox mod There is also a miscellaneous file that changes Sweet Roll's textures without a mod
i didn't make the meshes (and have no 3d modeling knowledge), so the best i'd be able to do is reassign sweet roll's mesh to the one in the mod i haven't updated to AE yet (because compatibility issues), so it'd be fine if someone else wants to make it compatible with AE
FOMOD installer is now in the Friendly Fox file. You can choose the mod with or without Sweet Roll, and which color you want her to be Texture replacer only (no mod) is under miscellaneous files (but only for red color)
Not sure why but this breaks the appearance of Sweetroll from CC's Pets of Skyrim. Was loving it up until I saw the misshapen monster that sweetroll had become.
unfortunately i can't really help with that because i don't have anything from the creation club
the screenshots show a collar on the fox, which is the only issue i can think of. or at least i'm assuming the collar is specifically modeled for the vanilla fox mesh is there a way to remove the collar?
if that doesn't work, then i guess i'll buy pets of skyrim and see what i can do
Im finally setting up Skyrim SE mod install after years, and just went scouring through my LE tracked mods because I knew I had a cuter fox mod in there and found your comment that linked here. Thank you for doing a port of these adorable foxies! They are certainly better than the odd vanilla meshes.
