Hi, I installed the main file + optional, the mod seems to work, but on the other hand I don't have the same stats of damage seen on your screen. The daedric katana is at 42 of damage while in my game I am at 34 of damage. Is it normal ?
Hey, sorry for the late reply, I've stepped away from modding for the time being and don't come on nexus much.
So, with this mod - or any other damage display, including vanilla - the damage you see on the inventory screen will reflect the player character's skill level and perks. In other words, yes it's normal.
The guy who said this was deleted(and unclear) but in vanilla dragonbone weapons are stronger than daedric weapons but are suppose to be heavier. That's why you get the dragonbone crafting perk after the daedric. Not complaining cause i'm gonna use daedric weapons anyway but that's a thing
This mod is intended to follow WACCF scaling, which put Daedric at the highest tier due to (I think) component rarity.
I think the Dragonbone vs. Daedric discussion is a legitimate matter of opinion, whereas Orcish weapons being terrible was just... bad design.
Edit: I left dragonbone as the heaviest weight because... of course. In defense of the Dragon Smithing perk, it does allow you to craft both Light and Heavy armors, plus weapons, making it among the most versatile perks in the vanilla (+DLC) tree...
Yea also valid points. Personally I'll just change it in sseedit if i feel like it. Your mod and no one else has really brought it up so they probably don't care lol
A must have for (Katana crafting-se) users (main file + optional file = perfect). Dai katana speed is 0.900 (with optional file). Fantastic thanks you.
Sorry for the late reply - I am on hiatus from Skyrim for the moment.
What do you mean? Dragonbone is better in vanilla, or with the mod installed? If the latter, do you have other mods that overwrite Katana Crafting? Is this mod loading after Katana Crafting?
This comment doesn't give me a clear description of the problem or enough information to effectively troubleshoot.
It'd be interesting if you'd also add the Katanas into leveled lists. Enemies don't use it and you can't find it in chests either, which would be nice. Do you think you'd be up for that or just not something you'd wanna do?
Interesting idea. I might give it a whack once a few other projects are off my plate, but it would definitely only be unenchanted versions of the weapons to start with.
EDIT: Might knock the dust off of this and upload within the next few weeks. Starting a new save file to test.
EDIT2: This has obviously been back-burnered, but not forgotten. I had to re-build the leveled-list .esp and it's too labor-intensive to do all in one sitting.
