Simply put, its doubles your FPS for a less than a tenner, which is ALOT cheaper than a hardware solutiion, so yes, you do need LS.
This mod exceeds the games engine capabilities. Try it without, you'll see, and if that level of performance is acceptable, then nothing to see here, however, yes, It really does require Frame Gen or similar - unless you have a 4090xxx and a AMDSuperCache but tbh, if you had that, you would still run Lossless Scaling anyway - they stack.
and you can refund it, so try it, see what happens, let us know, and yes, it does work on old hardware with ENB etc just fine
Maybe i'm just late to the party, but I dont know why everyone isnt talking about this, it's like Skyrim got the drawcall issue 'sort of' fixed.
This mod has major issues for me, terrain covering buildings, buildings missing, doors not being where they're meant to be, the list goes on. I've tried disabling all mods that affect grass/terrain, disabling mods individually to find the culprit (I only did 50 or so in a 300 mod list, but many others don't touch textures, terrain or anything like that), disabling quality world map, tried numerous patches for this mod.
No idea why it doesn't work for me I can figure anything else out. Its mainly the this docks mod that won't work. When I installed Enhanced Solitude SSE without this mod it seems to work fine but most of the issues aren't in Solitude, they're from the main gate + all the building this mod does. I've tried reinstalling as well to no avail :(
I tried for hours to get this mod to work with Enhanced Solitude SSE installing all sorts of different patches and improvements. Then I thought, "screw it", and installed this mod plainly with no patches at all. To my surprise, It Just Works. Standalone, without doing anything else.
So my functional load order with both Enhanced Solitude SSE and Enhanced Solitude Docks: 79: Enhanced Solitude SSE.esp 92: Enhanced Solitude Docks.esp 112: SPBTweakedForEnhancedSolitude.esp 129: Enhanced Solitude SSE USSEP Patch.esp 132: Enhanced Solitude SSE Bells of Skyrim patch.esp 144: Smelters_Riften & Solitude.esp 145: ES AI Overhaul patch.esp 160: Enhanced Solitude Cherry Trees SSE.esp
* Don't use ES Terrain Patch * Don't use ES -ESD Patch.
Notably, I do not have any Enhanced Solitude - Solitude Docks patches and it seems to work fine. I ran around both inside-the-gates Solitude and the docks with a follower and everything seemed good enough in terms of navmesh with no apparent missing structures and clipping.
I'm using "AI Overhaul" and "Bells of Skyrim" too. 213 total plugins.

ANYONE WITH TERRAIN ISSUES, TERRAIN CLIPPING INTO BUILDINGS, BRIDGES, TREES ETC FOLLOW THIS STEP:
Literally go to your mod manager, in my case Vortex, and try disable mods 1 by 1 to find the culprit. If this is not ideal or possible (it would corrupt my save trying that) then just go to the Enhanced Solitude Docks.esp found in the plugin tab. Double click it and a list should appear on the right. Go to group and select Late Loaders from the drop down. Then go to the top of the orange bar where it should say 'sort now' this will update the load order and put that esp at the bottom of your load order. This was the ONLY thing that fixed ALL of it for me, I don't think there were any patches or other fixes that worked for me. There's very minor flora/grass cliping in some places, but I feel when I disable the ES EDS patch or any of the other patches for terrain, it makes some terrain worse again so I'll take a few grass clippings over massive terrain issues.

see ive had the same issue with terrain clipping at Melcor's house and a couple other places, and Also I use the ESD/Khajiit Has wares patch because they show up smack dab in the middle of the bakery otherwise. Any reccomendations there?

Everyone involved, a small addition that worked for me: Set the ES Terrain patch to "High Priority Fixes" and the ESD one to "Late Loaders". Otherwise, spot on! Thanks for the troubleshooting help!
Current v3.6.1 runs surprisingly well, i get stable 60 fps with a heavy ENB and no framegen at 1440p native running around the docks (5800x3D, 6900xt). Didn't notice any bigger issues apart from seemingly a few iffy navmeshes, random NPCs sometimes getting stuck on stairs and just standing there.
I also noticed that the current v3.6.1 ESP is not ESM-flagged, is that intentional or an oversight? As big as it is, it adds quite a bit to the ref count without the ESM flag... should we ESMify it ourself? (e.g., using Persistentify Those Plugins)
this mod is incompatible with nature of the wild land.it adds an area towards the marsh with several houses and the trees cross this one and there is also a problem of ground.
Hello Kojak747 Saw this ona you tubes n thought I might like to try it, Just only now reinstalled sse n skse64, using mo2 , but its saying this mod is missaing a master being USSEP, is that right or did I stuff something up in the install, I saw no mention when downloading the mod, nor in the requirements drop down tab, which I always check first before downloading ...! So far I have only downloaded this , no other solitude mod, busy getting anything lotd together

Wonderful. You even have left a space for my own favorite player house, Clef's Priory of the Cape. It just about fits in perfectly! Just need to use the consol to remove some clipping near the smithy. Thanks again.
Absolutely gorgeous! I have been away from Skyrim and Mods since 2018. This, along with the Enhanced Solitude mod is the most beautiful and well laid out city mod I have ever seen. A tour de force! I am just wondering about one thing, and that is how the Red Wave ever leaves port. Thank you for allowing us to access to the=is fantastic work of the modders art!
